I have been planning to change my eyeglasses a long time ago, but there was always something getting in my way (health problems, job, lockdowns). At the beginning of this year I have decided that enough is enough and that I was going to get it done. The problem now was to find a good place. I had my previous glasses made in a cheaper place, but unfortunately the quality matched the price. So one day I decided to Google "Best opticians in Birmingham". One of the suggestions was Colin Lee, so I checked the website. What attracted me first was the fact that it is a family owned business, with a long career which in our days, when everything is designed for "single use" and companies are "appearing" and "disappearing" over night, says quite a lot (at least to me) about the quality of their services and products. The second thing that attracted me was the way the website was designed: very simple, with separate categories, looking professional and elegant. It was so simple to find information about the lenses I was looking for! What I loved was the fact that for each branch there were details about opening times, phone numbers, staff members, location. It was so simple to get an appointment! But then it came the part that I love even more: going for my appointment at the Ward End branch was ABSOLUTELY LOVELY!!! The way the staff welcomed me and accommodated my needs, smiling all the time, being friendly, offering professional advice, showed that they were interested in client satisfaction and not only in making money. The optometrist was very professional and answered all my questions, offering helpful advice. It took a bit of time until I got the frames that suited me best, and the patience of those ladies was fabulous! The quality of the lenses is excellent and I don't regret a penny I've spent. When they found out I am working in the NHS, they were even so kind as to give me a 20% discount. Now I can't wait to go there to refill the cleaner or get new cloths because the staff is so lovely! I TRULY HAVEN'T GOT ENOUGH WORDS TO RECOMMEND THIS FIRM AND THE WARD END BRANCH! Thank you everyone at Colin Lee Ward End 😊
