A sure candidate for the absolute worst bus station in the nation, not that you can actually call a kiosk-sized waiting-room with overhanging canopy, a 'station'. It's actually an over-sized bus shelter, & absolutely pathetic that a town campaigning for city status cannot provide a better excuse for a bus station than this. Just compare Colchester to nearby Ipswich, a town of similar size but with at least 4 separate bus stations...

Waited at correct stop fo bus 75 due 2.05pm.the driver had parked at other end of bus stops out of our sight as road has a bend. 2.05 came and bus drove past us 5 waiting passengers

Used to be a nice place to visit. Sadly now it is just a meeting spot for drunks. If you are with children try to avoid this area due to open alcohol consumption and bad language.

Waiting room, such as it is, was closed. This is not a bus station but a row of bus stops. The old bus station had a cafe and toilets. National Express don't use it any more so it's a 10 minute walk to reach the coach stop on East Hill/High Street. Council should have upgraded the old bus station instead of building the art centre.

Shocking! Those responsible for public transport in Colchester need to make vital improvements for the greater good. Coming out of this station as a visitor is such a shock on a number of levels, so dire with hugh roundabouts and without a decent Bus stop Route Service, which is really terrible for visitors, and moreover forces local people to use their own cars creating extra traffic hence, plenty of ghastly pollution. A Bus service near the Railways Station is vital for both commuters and visitors alike for Colchester, and let's not over look the elderly and people with mobility health issues that need to use the Buses. Plus, the vicinity needs containers filled with sessional flowers to help bring beauty, after all the world over believes the UK to be garden/plant lovers.

Useless bus station. It is a shame that oldest town in Britain does not have a proper bus station. Some.of the buses have quiet poor service. Not keeping the proper running time. Needs overhaul.
