My partner and I went to see Cyanide at the speakeasy Murder Mystery. This was a really good production, but be prepared to do lots of investigation. This is definitely not for anyone who doesn't enjoy taking part or doesn't like being a bit of a Sherlock. The actors were great fun and brought the characters to life. The use of props was also great and made it feel really interactive. It would have been great to get more insight into how much work we would need to do before going to the show as I was a bit lost for the beginning of it and only got into the swing of things towards the end. I had lots of fun though and it's nice to talk to others and see their theories. Would recommend for a different type of date night.

Re: Cyanide Murder Mystery. Lazy theatre production in a run down pub. The format is that you ask 4 actors about the murder mystery for 2.5 hours. No acting scenes, no drama, no decor- it’s the worst experience for immersive theatre, if anything the actors don’t have a script or a clear story line. Forget actually finding out the murder mystery, since it’s only what you ask, it’s very likely you won’t get it because no one was close to the story line in the 30 ppl group we were in. Save yourself and pay for a proper theatre show and not a snobby host who would laugh/ make fun of your suggestion when you tell them about who you think “who dunnit it”.
