    100% unreliable and time wasters. They cannot be bothered and speak to you with a belittling, entitled tone. I spoke to Brook November 2021 about fitting a missing register plate to our chimney enclosure (new build). Was told to email details, which I did. Didn't hear back, so I called again 15 December, only to be told he hadn't checked emails. Then he said he needed authorisation by the house developers, which I reminded him had already been provided, and which he eventually found. He told me to send photos via WhatsApp (can't be arsed to assess the job in person?), which I did - 15 December. Then I called again to check that he had received the photos, and he told me to call in January, as they were 'very busy'. When I called yet again in January, he said they were booked up for weeks, so will let me know a date. Today, 9 March, 4 MONTHS after I originally made contact, still no contact. Absolutely awful customer 'service'. Should be ashamed! And no, don't bother calling me now - I have zero faith that you'd do a professional job, so I'll get it done by a better company, cause you're clearly a Mickey Mouse outfit.

    We have chosen to have the old fireplace - surround, hearth and insert removed and replaced with new fireplace in keeping with the original style of the Victorian property. We found Coeval fires very friendly and approachable and they provided us with quotes to meet our specifications, making adjustments to the options as requested by us. Despite many challenges with working conditions due to lockdown, Coeval fires were flexible and ensured that the work was completed in time for Christmas. They organised the chimney sweep, gas connections and all work so it was a streamlined process with limited involvement needs from us. We are delighted with the new fireplace and have enjoyed the warmth during the snow days! Thank you Lee and Brook and team!

    they seemed ignorant about the latest wood burning stove products and standards and regulations, but more importantly they seemed to be aiming to extract the most money they could for the least work, so I did not go with them in the end.

    Each winter for the past three years, as I watch the water drip down the outside of the stove pipe onto the expensive Charnwood fire in cream, rusting its surface, as I watch the roaring flame that I cannot turn down, I think of the officious, bumptious personnel from Coeval and wish I had never met them. I tried to get them to do something about the problems and they denied there were any problems, then denied it was their fault, then said it was due to choices I had made. Really? A leak down the stovepipe? They were only interested in one thing, apart from the money, and that was enforcing the heating regulations as expensively, as long- windedly as possible. Avoid Coeval at all costs. Their name says it all - pointless, meaningless, and a little "eval" I note that my old review has been removed and they have a set of five star reviews from people who have never reviewed anything other than them - I think we can draw our own conclusions.
