It was my first time trying CocoDimama as I was recommended by a work colleague. I ordered the Vegan Lentil Pasta and ate in-store. I was a quarter of the way through my pasta when I experienced a chewy texture which didn't feel right to me at all (as my pasta was vegan). I spat the contents out into a napkin and was disgusted to find chunks of minced meat which I can only imagine to have been cross-contaminated from one of the other pastas you sell. I went to speak to the workers and the attitude I received from one of them was not acceptable and I quote said "We can't guarantee that there will be no meat in the Vegan pasta as everything is made in one place" - I couldn't believe what I was hearing as this is a ridiculous comment to make and there should never be a possibility of this... I didn't even receive a sorry or appreciation that there had been a mistake made. They offered me another pot of the pasta but I declined and asked for a refund. I couldn't believe the experience I'd had, not only finding meat within my vegan pasta but then the reaction from the staff. I'm not one to complain however my experience was absolutely awful and I feel like there defiantly needs to be an investigation into health and safety, training of staff and how the food is stored / served.

Great Italian take-away with vegan options. Some of the things get sold out too fast though!

Usually have a good experience here, but yesterday I was served by someone who very clearly didn't want to help. I asked for one thing, they said they were sold out, asked for another, again they said sold out. Which was strange considering on the board behind them they have stickers/signs saying SOLD OUT over the items that are, however for these two they did not? He acted like it was my problem that the items were sold out, and annoyed that I'd even asked. If you display it properly, or explain to people first what you DO have, then you wouldn't have this problem. Either way, I asked what they DID have, to which he only gave me two options (or three maybe, he was muttering, barely wanted to serve me). I got the Spicy Pork with cheese (never had it before, never will again). Tasted fine, but the day after (baring in mind this was the only thing I had eaten that day other than a standard pot noodle) I woke up violently ill. It soon passed, telling me it was something I ate rather than general illness, so I wouldn't recommend eating here. I feel like as soon as it gets past the lunch time rush they can't be bothered with anyone. There's only two employees who I have had good experiences with, unsure of their names, (one is a tall guy and the other a woman of colour who is always lovely) but otherwise they're just rushed and a little rude, even though I went there when barely anyone else was there. This on top of their food making me ill... I also find (and this isn't due to this specific Coco Di Mama in particular) if you order from there to be delivered it's pretty much a lucky dip as to what you are going to get. I don't think I have ever ordered from them and received what I actually ordered, whether this is missing items, wrong toppings, wrong pasta dish altogether, and every time its ended up being a horrible experience trying to get my money back because you just can not get through to their stores.
