I sold my property through Cockburn estate agents. The team in New Eltham office are fantastic. Everyone that I met was very helpful and respectful when arranging viewings. My property was sold very quickly and then passed to Loveleen who is their Sales Progressor. Loveleen is very good at what she does, she provided me with updates on the progress of the sale, chased solicitors and buyers. There was not one moment when I was not aware of how the sale was progressing. If I had any problems with the solicitor she dealt with it. It was a painless and stressful experience using Cockburn. Although I have not mentioned everyone by name that does not mean that the rest are not as good, they are all fantastic from the manager down to the staff I met. They definitely know their market and can advise on the best way to present your property to the market.

I have just bought and sold using Cockburn. The team have been fantastic from start to finish. Sam and Charlie conducted viewings and found me a buyer quickly and also found me my new home, they were always friendly and helpful whenever I needed them. Loveleen was amazing at progressing my sale, being on the phone with updates for me and keeping me calm when problems came up. Peter was also so friendly and helpful. This team made my experience at a stressful time such a positive one. highly recommend and would definitely use again.

I cannot praise highly enough the service I have received from the team at Cockburn's. I rented my house through them for several years with a first class service, particularly from Louise, the Letting's Manager who was always on hand to sort any issues. I have just sold my property through Cockburn's and the sales team (Peter, Sam and Steve) are amazing, friendly, diligent and gave an amazing service from start to finish. I was particuarly impressed with the sales progressor, Loveleen, who was absolutely amazing and helped my sale go through smoothly and efficiently and was in touch with me constantly throughout the sales process. This complaint is about Louise as I feel that while Steve and Charlie are really nice, Louise handled our situation inappropriately. My sister and I found a place in Mottingham that we wanted to move in to which Louise was meant to show us. She forgot at first saying it was busy that day but rearranged another viewing. There were many complications and dates kept being pushed back. We were meant to be moved in by the 10/10/20 which became unavailable but another property next door which was bigger and same price was ready. However this got pushed back to 13/10/20, 15/10/20, 16/10/20, 18/10/20 then finally giving up when we were told it would be 26/10/20. Louise on multiple occasions pushed the date back saying it was an issue over getting keys but in terms of communication, she didn’t. We contacted her several times, all to which she came at us with another problem and never a solution. In the end we asked for our deposit back. It’s difficult times and not everyone has deposit money in their back pocket to keep handing over and Cockburn has our deposit so we have no flat and no deposit. I asked my sister has she received a payment after not being told a day. We assumed it would be done On the same day as we had no flat no deposit and had to be moved out by the 18/10/20 which Louise knew and also as she didn’t tell us any other day. There was no deposit so I contacted Louise and asked her what was happening and she explained what she told my sister. I said we are supposed to receive a refund today but she said “no I didn’t say that and all our calls are recorded so you if you hear it back you will know I didn’t say that.” I said you don’t have to be rude and defensive. I then explained how we have had almost no communication from you and when we do (us contacting them) there is always another problem, the viewing the move in date and key issues. She then raised her voice and said “i came in on my day off, I live 17 miles away and I came in to sort it” I said to her but you didn’t sort it out cause we are still here and I already extended my gratitude to you coming in but apart from that you haven’t communicated with us hardly ever, there’s always an issue and never a solution or no effort on your part to update us on what’s happening. She said she had 4 other move ins that day so getting back to us was difficult. I told her, I don’t mean to be rude but that’s your job. I then explained again how she hasn’t communicated as much as I felt she should have, knowing when we need to move out by and the fact that the move in date is always being pushed back. At this point she said “I apologise profusely” but at this point doesn’t mean a lot to me. I just said that’s fine but I’d like a recording of the conversation between you and my sister regarding payment date. She told me that it doesn’t get handled on her end so it would be with the phone department, so I said “so do I now need to contact them”(confused as she said she can’t do it herself) but she got rude again and said “nope, no they won’t talk to you or tell you anything cause you don’t work here.” I contacted Charlie and he was lovely and helpful in regards to the situation and passed over my details and told me an average time frame when I should be contacted. Steve also called me shortly after and said he will do a day to day transfer for us on Monday otherwise we will be waiting 5-7 working days (Louise has also originally told us 3-5 working days after I contacted her). If you’re looking at a property with Cockburn, I recommend Steve or Charlie. Good customer service and niceties doesn’t cost you anything Louise so be nicer in future :-). (I would have complained sooner but we were still trying to search for a place, given that Louise made us wait over a week for a flat that we believe to have never been ready.)
