Nice large CL site. Well kept. Approach is a little narrow in places from both directions. Nightly stay rose from £12.50 to £20.00 per night (£15.00 to £25.00 for a single night stopover). At that price I would expect a water tap on each pitch. Some nights there were six vehicles on a five vehicle site. Road noise is persistent through the day from about 6am.

Great location less than 30 minutes from the ferry terminal at Dover. A good walk to a selection of three pubs in Bridge. Check the ordnance survey map for footpaths before you set out - it's possible to get there using only a couple of very short bits of road without a footpaths, the rest is on good paths through farmland. Look for the path that crosses the A2, it goes through an underpass so no dangerous road crossing (returning from Bridge the footpath leaves the far edge of the recreation ground by the A2 and runs alongside it for a few hundred metres before going through the underpass.) The site is equipped with electricity, but no toilets, showers or waste disposal, but as long as you know this in advance it's fine. The field is flat with cut grass and the electricity outlets position around the edges. The road that runs along the side of the field is a bit of a rat run and cars do come through at a bit of a lick. At night you can hear traffic on the A2 in the distance, but you also get to hear owls so not all bad. The people that run the site are nice and helpful; they do not live on-site, but are easily available by phone. This site is a good place to stop if you are on the way to France or if you want to stay longer and explore a beautiful part of the world which is riddled with footpaths.

lovely simple site. Not a lot of public transport around, however Bekesbourne station is 10 mins walk. Electric points around perimeter. My son was in a nearby hospital, and it was a perfect place to stay to visit him. Local walks to Canterbury were lovely. Recommended.
