Woodingdean receptionist Jan is really knowledgeable and helpful , Kirsty has been a great vet when we can see her . but sadly the availability of the vets is inconsistent and sadly the nature of using a larger veterinary practice the cost of treatment has gone through the roof . After paying for a consultation, lasting barely two minutes, a fee of £45 to get a Librela injection, which cost £70 (plus) for our dog ,they now want to charge for consultation every month when we have the injections Greedy and unprofessional.

We recently had a terrible experience at Coastway Woodingdean branch where my boxer dog was examined by an older (retired) vet who she had seen previously - this vet was exceptionally rude to me, she shouted at me when I questioned something she had done, she manhandled my dog and squeezed an abscess on her chin very hard to the extent that the abscess was dripping when we came out of the consultation and she told me not to come back. She said I shouldn't be taking my dog to both a holistic and conventional vet (this is my decision, nothing to do with any vet) and she also told me there was nothing we could do about the abscess. Since then I have submitted a formal complaint (about 7 weeks ago) and no one from Coastway has replied to me. Completely negligent treatment - and since then my dog's abscess has healed completely through homeopathic treatment and manuka honey which I decided to apply myself, despite being told it was 'un-healable' by the Coastway vet. We will never use Coastway Vets again.

They were really gentle with my kitten and had it all under control. It was all over and done with quickly. My kitten didn’t fuss at all. It was a really calm environment and they were lovely.

Always a friendly welcome from this surgery! Very caring, professional and unhurried. It's a place that I can trust. I can't say that of a previous vet I used to go to. For a vets, the charges are fair, too! I'd highly recommend this practice and have been happy bringing my dog here for years!

Having been to Coastway Vets Woodingdean for many years I cannot thank them enough for the care and attention they have given over that time. Sadly my cat at the grand old age of 18 passed away last week and the staff at the time were so caring and even today when I went to collect his ashes Jan gave me a hug and made me feel very special. One day we will have another four legged member of our family and we will definitely have these vets care for them.

Recently got a rescue, ex-racer greyhound. Fantastic dog and we love him dearly already. When we got him, we were told he was "a bit loose". Well 5 weeks later he's losing weight and hasn't had a solid bowel movement. I asked around and CVW were recommended. I'm so glad they were. All of sudden he stops pooing for days so it took a long time to get the samples needed. Our dog continued to loose weight and his mood dropped. Both Laura and especially Jan were UTTERLY FANTASTIC. Both were communicative and reassuring while being honest and setting realistic expectations. Our dog isn't better but yet but he couldn't be in better hands. 😊
