I have been training with Mickie for more than six months and it has been a transformational journey. He is absolutely incredible in understanding your motivation, your strengths and addressing your weaknesses. Every single session he is fully present and determined to make it count. He has a wealth of knowledge and previous experience and is definitely not the kind of trainer that bases his training programme on themselves or a once size fits all. He will create and keep revising your training based on you - creating something as unique as you are. In between sessions he is always checking how your other forms of exercising is going and making sure you are staying on top of your nutrition. And he has a brilliant personality , a caring nature while he is not afraid to push you to keep growing and surprising yourself with your progress! If you are looking for a professional trainer that is dedicated and genuinely loves what he does that’s what you will get.

I've had the pleasure of training with Mickie now for around 4 years, and the experience has honestly been life changing. Mickie is so knowledgeable about his profession and always strives to keep learning! He is dedicated to getting you the best results, and always gives a straightforward approach which helps to cut through all the noise of the fitness world which can sometimes be overwhelming. His sessions are fun and challenging, and his workouts have really improved my mental and physical health significantly, as it took the anxiety around fitness away due to his friendly and kind attitude. Good communication skills, caring and easy to get along with. I'm based in Moscow and still use him for online workouts with his simple but effective app. Also recommends good coffee shops around Manchester!

Considering I live in Australia, i had doubts this could work, but his communication is so consistent and gives me more support than I could ever expect!! I’ve been training with Mickie for just under a year both in person and online, I really can’t recommend him highly enough. I initially started seeing him because due to lockdown, divorce and parenting looking after me has slipped down the priority list. I was unhappy with how I looked and my over all fitness levels. As a complete beginner he has been great, really supportive and knows when to push and challenge but also when to adapt his approach and style to meet my needs to ensure that I’m not overwhelmed or struggling. I’m so happy with the results over 2 stone down and nearly at my goal weight, but also feeling so much better in general.

Deciding to work with Mickie has been the best decision I’ve made in trying to get some form of healthier life. I’ve had a few false starts with him over the years, enquiring about training and not following it up, thinking it was too expensive and deciding against it. I finally came to him in December 2021 at probably my lowest point for various reasons. A time where historically I would turn to food and pile weight on, but this time I decided to invest in me….and so glad I did! PT’s aren’t cheap, whoever you go with, but there are a lot a charlatans out there and the cheaper ones are probably cheap for a reason. The progress I have made to me has been priceless. The personal value you get, Mickie’s experience and knowledge, you are not throwing money away! I do the online training with him. I’d love to do personal training but I don’t live close enough. Not trying to undersell his in-person training for him, but the way he operates feels like in person training. We speak probably every other day. He’s just spent 3 months on holiday in Mexico but he didn’t stop training me which was ace as PT’s love a good kip and I train late, so the 6 hour time difference meant he was still wide awake tucking in to his burrito (racist?!) while I was pestering him with questions! We started on a program just getting me in the gym and getting the movements right. Always encouraged to send videos of my training which he’d comment and advise on. Then as I progressed, so did the workouts. And as your knowledge and experience builds he listens to your suggestions, or if you don’t like a particular exercise if it niggles something or you just aren’t feeling it, or you don’t have it at your gym, you know it’ll be changed in your program within 24 hours. My main thing with Mickie was to trust the process. When I got the first sessions through, I’ve not told him this but I had some doubts, they didn’t seem all that hard. “Just that many reps and that many sets….pfft!” but f**k me! Horrendous…ly good! It’s not ego driven, its form, technique, breathing right, prioritised over throwing big weights around with shocking technique, risking injury and limiting progress. Even now there’s certain exercises I use 5kg dumbbells on and get incredible pumps out of. And you aren’t hammered with stuff either. As I’ve progressed and got the movements right, we’ve introduced techniques that I never would have thought of on my own. Like “engage this bit before you do that bit” or “breathe in here and tense that to assist that” and it’s mental the change it makes to your sets. On the pic I posted, there’s 5 months difference, and I’m the same weight in both. 14 stone 7lbs. How I’ve got visible abs and look the way I do while being the same weight has blown my mind. Granted I’m tensing on the current pic but still, why’ve I got visible abs at 14st 7lbs?!?! I’ve just trusted the process and put the work in. Mickie can’t control how you train or what you put in your mouth, we are only now talking about dialling the food in and even then, only if I’m ready to take that on as well. But I guess, especially with the online training, along with trusting the process you’ve got to put the work in. I’m 39 and without really thinking about it have made this progress in 5 months. If I can do it surely anyone can and I can’t recommend Mickie highly enough!

He offers both in person and online training but a combination of both works for me. Couldn’t recommend enough !!!
