Old wood managed by Woodland Trust. Great for dogs and children. Gun club nearby on Sunday am - avoid if your dog hates bangs. Dog-friendliness: Popular dog walking location. Few people use leads, although it's required by sign at car park on Wood Lane. There is forestry work going on south of railway making walks there unpleasant and maybe risky! Gun club seems to have gone away.
