On the whole a good place and staff somewhat know what they are doing. My experience there was dificult but enlightening. I discharged myself because of the treatment of one person who was subjected to continued interrogation by his so called "peers". He opened up his life and daemons but was subjected to continueous interrogation with no time to let his newly opened wound to heal. On my self discharge I was assured that my concerns were noted and plans immediately put in place to rectify my issues. If its for you I would recommend this place but, be prepared to have your life stripped away and rebuilt.

I came into Clouds having severe addictions underlyed by mental health problems. To be honest I don't think Clouds really fully addressed that my mental health causes my addictions. The level of mental health support there was quite poor. Yes there were counsellors but I didn't get to see a physiatrist for 3 weeks because they didn't have one working. Also there was another very obviously mentally ill person who I do not feel was getting the level of support they needed. I t was blindlingly obvious. To be fair my counsellor Tracy was efficient at her job. She seemed to genuinely care. I just feel let down that the psycatrist at Clouds said I need trauma therapy including my counsellor so I was getting excited that I could go onto something secondary The counsellor indicated that I would be getting trauma therapy for then to u turnand say I was going to Gordon Moody. To be fair it wasn't her personal thought. I did complain but got a very politically worded response which was disappointing. Unfortunately Gordon Moody couldn't offer me mental health support by there own admission do It was unfair for me to be sent there plus Clouds House said it was being funded by charity and this turned out not to be the case

I went in to clouds July 2005 , fabulous place great councillors , nurses, chefs , like a well oiled machine. The only thing changing is the clients. Really learnt a lot about addiction here as well as some lifelong friend. Hate to say I wasn’t ready and relapsed shortly after leaving , totally me .. 16 years later I have 3 years clean and sober. Clouds planted the seed and although took me 13 years to get it (in the rooms) I look back fondly at the start this place gave me. Thank you so much 🙏

Thank you Clouds house and all the people who endlessly work with addition, nearly 20 years since I first turn up withdrawing, harsh detox but got through it with the help and support of likeminded people doing the same and the staff. Been clean ever since and have a life to dream of. So grateful to have been given the opportunity to live my life again drug free

What a Nightmare... they had NO concept of how to Detox a patient off Opiates.. a one size fits all approach from staff, councillors and doctors.. I had to check out From there and go to a Private detox... because I kept going into full withdrawals .. They did not listen to my concerns. None of the councillors were ex Junkies... all ex- alcoholics.. they had No experience with opiates....... So Disappointing !!!! And PAINFUL.. I left there puking my guts up.. on a nightmarish train ride back to London..

Clouds is an outstanding treatment centre. The staff are extremely caring, but the daily routine is intense and requires total commitment. This is a serious 12 step rehab for people that are passionate about recovery and are prepared to surrender to the system. A wonderful place in magical surroundings, but get ready to work hard. Highly recommended.

Given the complex issues surrounding addiction, such as depression and anxiety, to name but a few, coupled with underlying mental health problems, you wouldn’t expect Clouds to ask someone to leave for displaying those symptoms, would you? Well, think very carefully before parting with you hard earned money, if you are considering Clouds. Knowing my brother suffers with all of the above, we were assured that the staff at Clouds were well equipped and able to help. Unfortunately after failing to attend some of the meetings involved as part of the treatment program, two weeks into his stay and 3 days on to his newly prescribed medication, he was asked to leave. No management were available for us to talk to, no discharge forms, zilch. A nurse, who quite frankly is reminiscent of a miserable old head mistress, with zero people skills, compassion or care, asked us to leave on these grounds and sought to further justify her decision of asking us to leave by stating that my brother has been found with CHOCOLATE in his possessions. After we left, my mother returned to attempt a further conversation with the nurse, the door was physically pushed shut and her fingers were almost trapped in the door, before the door was ultimately locked to prevent our return. This is someone’s broken life we are talking about. The rejection suffered by my brother since his departure has meant that we have paid for him to come out worse than before he entered. His mental health has deteriorated rapidly and we are very worried for his welfare. During the complaints process Clouds have not even asked how my brother is doing. Clouds may have contracts which mean legally they are within their rights to refuse a refund. However, morally and ethically, I struggle to understand how they can treat a family in this way. We will be taking legal proceedings, however we are just one small voice, struggling to be heard All of this being said, I do believe there are staff within Clouds who genuinely want to help people and we did see good in there. It just looks like my brother didn’t quite fit the mould.
