Perfect! David, my pilot, was great company and a great instructor. This couldn't have been any better. Still can't believe I was actually given control of a plane. The Surrey landscape was a great backdrop for this perfect experience. Loved every bit of it!

I had a fantastic time on a 1-hour flight experience with Cloudbase. My instructor, Will, was brilliant and Phil is a really nice chap - they made me feel really welcome and relaxed (despite the fact that I was really quite nervous!) I felt like I was in really safe hands and I'm keen to go again. Thumbs up!

My daughter had arranged a flying lesson for my 90th birthday, for 13.00hrs on Wed, 06-July 2016. Unfortunately we arrived 20mlns late, rather apprehensive and agitated. I met Mr Phil James, my tutor, who immediately put me at ease and and calmed my nerves. A very friendly gentleman.indeed. He gave a short talk about what we were going to do for the lesson, and what I was required to do on his instructions. After settling me in the aircraft and fitting a headset with Mike. He taxied down to the runway, and prepared fly. I thought I,d upset him as he did not talk to me, he apparently thought I gone deaf or had passed out as I did not answer his questions. Luckily it was the headset being temperamental. Not the most. Momentous start. That fixed we started flying. Very exhilarating but a little unsettling, shaky, Both me and the aircraft. and not certain about Phil the tutor. Slowly I. Settled down and thoroughly enjoyed the lesson and flight, the scenery,company in fact the whole experience. Thanks Phil, You were very good to an old man. Toby

It was really cool! I got a voucher for my birthday and I was a bit scared. But it was a great experience! Got to fly the plane and everything. Would definitely recommend, it's a one of a kind gift! Plus the cafe is lovely :)

My father was taught to fly by Cloudbase and has always recommended it. Now it is my turn. I have taken a series of small jobs and although just a gap year student i can earn enough each week to pay for a couple of lessons. I started with an experience flight with Will, and was instantly hooked. I have started lessons and cannot believe how much fun it is. The instructors are very friendly and helpful and I hope to learn as fast as I can. The ‘Flight Design CT’ planes are fantastic fun and I was able to start learning from the drivers seat from the word go! My dad did his flying in Shadows and when i get my licence (ASAP please, Will) I am looking forward to taking him up to show him how things have moved on. I hope to carry on flying at Cloudbase, as the people and setting make for a perfect entry to flying!

I have wanted to learn to fly for a very long time and when I finally decided to give it a go Cloudbase was the perfect option for me as Redhill Aerodrome is only 35 min from where I live in South London. I decided to try out one of the Air Experience flights first and was hooked immediately. The light aircraft that you train in are an absolute joy to fly and it's incredibly satisfying as you find yourself improving with each lesson. I hope to be able to get my licence someday but right now I'm just enjoying every moment that I'm in the air. The other great thing about Cloudbase are the people. They are an extremely friendly team who allow you to learn at your own pace. And when you're not flying everyone's in the airfield café chatting together about flying. I'm always itching to get back down to the airfield for my next lesson. There really is nothing more enjoyable than flying over the Surrey and Kent countryside!
