Last week I came to Clo & Flo for a hair appointment for the first time and had a fabulous cut and blow dry treatment with Armando. It was SO good that I immediately booked for a colouring treatment and came back for more of his golden touch. So today I entrusted him with a subtle, tranformative balayage colouring on my long thick (Latina heritage) brunette mane and here I am to rave about it and write the longest review I never thought I would leave but it was SO Good my boyfriend said 'you're like a new woman' and I keep getting compliments. The salon is very clean with an urban decor, cosy welcoming trinkets and props (daisy swing, positive fortune giving balls on the tables that I played with 'Just go for it' was my message for today) delicious beverages like the oat cappuccino, of which I had two. I was late twice, terrible of me I know, but both times they were accommodating and kind about it. Phew! Armando is very confident with long thick hair and was able to give me a brilliant first consultation, really listened to what I wanted - to keep a long length but light and with volume and a natural looking colour. He nailed it! My mum is already about to book an appointment after having seen my hair. The added bonus is that I felt very at ease in his company and we've only met twice. I laughed so much with him, I had tears at least three times in our session of 4 hours (average time for this treatment) I highly recommend this salon! -I will try to upload photos shortly, watch this space- Services: Hair coloring, Hairstyling, Balayage

A truly excellent hairdressers. Polite. Well run. And some very good stylists. Absolutely recommend this establishment built up by the outstanding owner François. Lots of superlatives I know. But deserved. Merci! EDIT. An update: I take back nothing of the compliments I made 2 or 3 years back. But I no longer after many years go to this establishment as the prices have gone up way way way above inflation. My gents haircut has doubled in price since I made this review. Its now circa £60, perhaps more. If a gent wants to remain cleanly cut he has to fork out £120 per month. You can't not tip so let's call it £140 per month. About £1600 per year that works out at. Cripes. If he stretches to a cut every 3 weeks instead it comes to around £1100 per annum. Whilst I do wish them well, and always will having been a close friend of the now retired founder of the salon and having known him 25 years plus,(and a brilliant hairdresser as well as character) I find the pricing bonkers- I'm referring to MEN'S cuts tbc. Either way, I know how hard his daughters have worked in their father's business and wish them nothing but success. They are part of the"furniture" of South Kensington.(The salon that is!)
