Local water for me, two small lakes, the larger is up to ten feet in depth, the smaller no more than five. A mixed fishery, with carp, roach, perch, Rudd, tench, and crucian carp. Beware, most of the " crucians" are hybrids. Nothing monstrous here some double figure carp, and decent sized roach and perch. There are restrictions on bait, and methods of fishing. Waters are controlled by Clive Vale Angling Club, day tickets available. The lower reservoir lost several thousand fish due to a loss of oxygen during July 2018. A survey of remaining fish suggests the stock is still healthy, and the club has not so far restocked Update...fished it today the 6th March 22, very chilly conditions, not many bites, the only carp I caught showed all the signs of cruel angling techniques, it mouth was closed, fins ripped, caused by too heavy tackle, and bad handling. Sadly fish in this condition are in many of the lakes I fish, just not here . Taken off 2 stars, because catching carp in this condition is no pleasure.
