    After cleaning both chimneys, Joe inspected my 26 year old, tired looking clearveiw log burner and cracked brick hearth and prepared a quote to refurbish both and put a cowl on the chimney. A good price was given and the work was completed a few weeks later. No long wait, which is so common these days. A really professional job with a great finish. Burner looks brand new with porcelain slab hearth. It really uplifted our kitchen. So polite and caring. Really recommend Clifford's. Check out the after and before pics.

    I recently had 3 chimneys swept and my gas fire serviced and checked, from the initial contact with the company they were very professional explaining all price for work to be carried out and any additional charges if required, the 2 guys Joseph Champion and Stewart May carried out there work on time and were very polite and professional explaining the work they had done in detail and any future work that may be required in view of there inspections,it is nice to understand what you are paying for rather than just getting a bill saying service to Gas fire or Chimney swept, these guys are a credit to your company so please pass on my thanks. Thank you once again Richard Simpson

    On behalf of Steve Truswell from N.E. Cheshire: "Much appreciate the reliable and helpful maintenance engineers from Clifford: was Alan and now James is back. Every Autumn they take our old Myson Velaire boiler apart, clean it out and re-assemble with new jet and any other parts needed (filter, fuel line etc). As a result this old boiler continues to deliver reliable heating year in, year out and that is what we need. I was particularly glad that they spotted the mistakes of the previous maintenance company who insisted (wrongly) on fitting an 85 deg hollow jet. That was for a different boiler model. My boiler uses a 60 deg solid jet. Makes all the difference to fuel economy, environmental damage and running costs. All-in-all a great service - well done, many thanks and long may you continue".

    Avoid this company at all cost. Although the engineer was a reasonable chap - I was chased for a £50 bill whilst in the middle of the job and was told I wouldn't be receiving a survey until it was paid - very poor communications, Tom (the owner) belongs in the 1970s for his level of customer care. I would seriously find another company to use. Further to your response (one that was expected) your communications were very poor. You weren't blackmailed - you were in the middle of exploratory works which your engineer promised to return. However after a call from you, it was clear that Clifford Heating was withdrawing any further work until the bill was paid - the problem was you never told the customer. Once I realised that was the case Clifford Heating were paid, however no phone call from Tom resulted (as promised) to continue the work came. Very poor service. Service: Heating system maintenance

    We were very impressed with the quality of workmanship, so much so that we also used them to install our stove - replacing a 1970s fireplace. We had a complete boiler move and install including all the rads and were thoroughly impressed.     Needed my chimney repointing.... Contacted Clifford's and got an excellent quote... The two engineers turned up on time and carried out the repairs professionally..... Turns out it was worse than I could see from the ground but it wasn't a problem and they still got it finished in a day. Great service and great price would recommend to anyone

    Kinda of a mixed review.... Used this company a couple of times for the Aga and so has mum. An engineer went to mum's a week or so ago and serviced her Age. All good do far- a fast and efficient service. However, when I checked the camera on mum's doorbell I noticed the engineer didn't wear a mask or gloves to go into an 80 year old woman's house. I was a little concerned so I rang to see what their Covid precautions were and to ask why no mask - I believe I asked politely and just making an enquiry. The receptionist passed my call to a man and I said I noticed the engineer wasn't wearing mask or gloves and immediately the man answered aggressively and rudely. There were valid reasons for the engineer not to wear a mask but this chaps aggression and rudeness continued. Needless to say I responded in kind - not the best move I know. I asked why the engineer didn't say to my mum he wouldn't be wearing a mask but I was interrupted and told they are not there to look after every individual household and it was mum's responsibility to put on a mask if she wanted. Mum has some cognitive issues - but when I tried to say that - more rudeness and aggression..... Unfortunately again - I responded in kind - I will only tolerate so much when it comes to keeping mum safe and secure. From the engineer point of view - mum very happy with the service. From the telephone person point of view - you give me rudeness and aggression - you get it back. We are all sensitive at this time but a little more understanding would go a long way. I know and appreciate that - it's a shame the man I spoke to on the phone doesn't. updated 02/09/20 - And their reply - aggression again - I stand by my opinion. I was not a problem with the receptionist - this is just using an excuse to be so aggressive and rude - the same as your response here. I assume you spoke to my sister who is abroad, does not live in the UK - and has no idea what the UK restrictions are - nor does she understand them. I appreciate that not everyone has to wear masks and that same sister you spoke to should have made mum's cognitive issues clear to you - that's on her. I did not know you were going to mum's - and I am the only family member in the UK - again - that's on my sister. In any event - your attitude and your response to my opinion of your service speaks for itself. We WERE happy with the service your engineer provided - it's your attitude I have a problem with.
