Beautifully restored and unique cliff railway which is the 2nd shortest in the UK after Southbourne in Bournemouth, at 130ft in length. It’s also unusual as it’s a single track (strictly speaking not a funicular) with the counterbalance running beneath the track. It’s operated by volunteers and you can find out the days of operation through their Facebook page. 50p is a bargain for a ride on a historic cliff lift over 100 years old.

A little gem. An excellent way to get to the beach from our hotel which was 2 mins away. Operated by volunteers (Nigel is one of them in the picture). At the time cost 50p each one way but really worth more just for the experience. There are steps for those who appreciate and can manage the exercise. Donation’s appreciated.
