Only rang up to query a bill and get t greeted with THE most horrendous attitude. They are so rude on the phone and they charge me £7 for emailing me a bill. Vile company. If you’re a property management company reading this please, for the love of God DO NOT have this wretched company do your billing for you unless you want to seriously upset your tenants.

If I could give a review of 0 stars, I would. We have been locked into an agreement with Clever Energy (which we are yet to see) and have been refused any access to any documentation regarding the billing of our account. Whilst our heating was being set up, due to connection issues between our developer and Clever Energy we were unable to complete our account. When this was eventually completed we were hit with almost a year’s worth of late payment fees despite never having received a single invoice (so how could we be late in making payment?). Removing these fees was a monumental hassle and the customer service representatives were unbelievably rude and unhelpful. Since then, we have been dealing with consistent issues with this company, who deem it fit to include a billing fee of circa £7.50 on every invoice which amounts to more than half of the bill (our bill is for heating and hot water), have an unreasonably short payment period of 14 days, and they are trigger happy in applying penalty charges for minor late payments (such as 1 or 2 days late) citing terms that we have been forced to agree blind and without providing any notice of non-payment. Avoid like the plague if you are a developer that wants to keep its residents happy. If you are a potential end user receiving services that Clever Energy will bill for, open dialogue with your developer as soon as possible to see if an alternative provider can be selected.

Complete abuse of power. We are locked into this contract due to the apartment block having an exclusive contract. The customer service agents are the rudest people I have ever had to deal with when only querying an invoice & was even hung up on. Invoice system is rubbish, constantly sending invoices to wrong emails after asking for addresses to be updated. Avoid avoid avoid (if you are lucky enough to)

No option to pay direct debit and online accounts not available where i live, send you spam emails saying how much your account is overdue lots of them even thou ive paid it then charge u for being overdue. My removal of rain water (i live in an apartment), VAT, and the amount they charge you for the pleasure of paying them your bill comes to more than the water you have used

They were sending bills to the wrong email address, they made a mistake and then tried to charge me for late payment!!! Extremely rude customer service agents, the rudest company I have ever ever dealt in my life. Do not recommend.
