We stayed one night in a double bedroom in Cleveliot House. The hosts were very welcoming and attentive. The house is beautiful, the accommodation is very comfortable and immaculately clean. The cooked breakfast was superb offering vegetarian options as well. There is a pub and pizzeria just a few steps from the house and lovely walking routes around the village. An absolutely wonderful stay, we didn't want to leave. And neither did our dog...

Cleveliot House is light, airy and very relaxing. I would say it's like home from home. Very welcoming. Our family of 5 (1 being 4 legged) stayed in 2 double bedrooms over 3 nights. Tea/coffee facilities. TV. Ample wardrobe space. Great bathrooms (husband straight in the jacuzzi bath!). The living room, with Sky, is large, so comfortable and very relaxing. Extremely good, tasty cooked breakfasts which set us up for our walks and the packed lunches (consisting of choice of filling sandwiches, piece of fruit, crisp and drink) which we ordered were just right. The hospitality was second to none from the owners, Cheryl and Jack and also Poppy the labradoodle. Nothing was too much trouble. We would thoroughly recommend Cleveliot House.

A beautifully well appointed b & b with all the facilities you could possibly want. The owners were lovely people, very friendly and couldn't do enough to make your stay great. The breakfast was one of the best cooked breakfasts I've had. Rooms : 5/5 | Service : 5/5 | Location : 4/5 … More

We'd booked to stay at the Buck Inn just up the road at Buckden but due to issues with the rooms we'd been allocated, we decided not to stay. The search was on for somewhere else and at 6pm, I rang Cleveliot having found them online to see whether they had two rooms available for the next three nights. Despite the extremely short notice, the answer was 'yes'. Jack & Cheryl couldn't have been more friendly & welcoming if they had tried, and Cleveliot House is absolutely superb in every way. Extremely comfortable ensuite rooms (ours had a jacuzzi bath), a sumptuous guests sitting room with Sky TV, and a cooked breakfast to die for in the morning (other options are available). And to top it off, the setting is idyllic, with loads of walks from the front door. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Cleveliot to anyone and we will return.

Beautiful guest house in a lovely location. The rooms are clean and tidy with nice touches (jacuzzi bath!) and the breakfast incredibly filling (I missed lunch afterwards!) However the thing that makes Cleveliot House standout is the welcome from the hosts (including Poppy the dog!) Nothing was too much trouble and our stay was fantastic. We loved the area and hope to return. If we do we will definitely be returning to Cleveliot House.

We stayed here as a family in early June. The rooms and en-suites were clean and comfortable, the hosts were very welcoming (and Poppy the dog was very friendly as well!), and the cooked breakfast they made us was lovely. It's right next to the pub, too, which was much appreciated!

Just wonderful. Location, amazing, room clean, tidy and comfortable and the host and hostess very good. Why the crowds flock to the lake district when just the otherside of the M6 are locations like this is something I struggle to get my head around.

After a few busy days in the Lake District we stopped off in the Yorkshire Dales and stayed in the Cleveiot House for the night. The moment we checked in we was greated by the friendly owners who couldn't do enough for you. Their hospitality was through the roof, excellent! They were lovely and very good with our nervous dog which helped us relax even more! The room we stayed in was perfect and has a lovely spacious en-suite bathroom which the shower was amazing! Just what you needed after a long journey. The room was very clean which was good to know due to the current situation with Covid. The house is situated in a beautiful village and near a great pub where we could unwind in the evening. Morning time you had a choice of a full cooked breakfast or a lighter option, we chose the cooked option which was very nice! Before our journey home we was able to use the enclosed field to let our dog off and tire out where you was surrounded by beautiful views. We will definately come here again and 100% recommend anyone who visits the Yorkshire Dales to stay here!
