Had an excellent experience today. Had used the ask my GP app the previous day regarding my issue, rang this morning as I my need for antibiotics was more urgent. The receptionist was very helpful and was offered an appointment that morning to see the nurse. She even undertook a blood test that was needed to avoid me returning and freeing up an appointment slot for someone else to use.

Absolutely rubbish doctors, your gp rushes you through your appointment without paying any real attention to what your concerns are and the receptionist and their policies for appointments is laughable, its ridiculous please save yourself the hassle and register with another local gp!

Definitely one of the best GP practices I've used. The times that I've needed it I had same day appointments. They were convenient and quick. I saw the correct professional for my problems. If you use the interactive system first you'll be seen faster as you're giving them the information needed to triage you correctly. If you just ring it can take a long time to be seen!

Potentially the worst surgery I’ve ever experienced, rude and unreliable, doctors are demeaning - with a clear lack of any care. Seems so dis organised, the reception seems more like a social club. Just wouldn’t bother with the place.

Literally left to die in pain. Any 2 week wait referral will take months and communication between Cleveland Surgery, hospitals and different departments is very very slow. Badly understaffed I guess. Financial resources going to wars etc. Effectively contacting Cleveland Surgery as a patient and actually getting through to do anything is a nightmare. Also having pain while trying to liaise with them is like a slow painful death. Update Left to die at 42 years old with complicate soft tissue masses which are likely cancer. Investigation took from May to October 2022 and is still ongoing while cancer is taking over the whole of my body so I think I already know my faith. There's not much hope it they find it when it's in final stage because it took too long and then only paliative care. Some have that extreme luck and get the treatment in time and perhaps survive some years. Just like I previously read in a newspaper: patient died 2 weeks after 1 year of investigations to find the diagnosis. Understaffed and under tremendous pressure NHS. Funds going to wrong causes.

A few days ago I called up about a query I had to do with my wife’s medication that she was about to run out of, my fault for leaving it so late but was a very important medication and without it she would have seizures. The girl I spoke with on the phone was lovely got consent from my wife for me to be able to discuss her medication, she apologised that she was taking a little longer to get my issue sorted but she was in training. That’s fine with me I don’t mind because we all start somewhere. I was passing by today so I popped in around 2/230 to check if it had been done and was greeted with the same voice, she confirmed the prescription has been sent to the pharmacy so I could go and check if they had done it as it was done same day I requested. I wanted to say a massive thank you to this girl because she is the nicest person in that reception that we have had dealings with in years. Anything she didn’t know the answer to, she was polite and said hold on a moment and I’ll check, as the person before me was a bit difficult . Once again a big thank you to the girl with the eyelashes with pink in them , I didn’t catch her name. I will be registering with you as I’m currently else where but wife is with you.

Awful surgery. I’m personalky with Caskgate who I find amazing, but my partner who is Epileptic is at Cleveland. He rang them repeatedly as their online service wouldn’t let him re-order very important epilepsy medication. The receptionists were SO unhelpful, even after he said he literally only had enough left for 1 day and it’s a life or death medication, they basically said they couldn’t do anything. We had to phone 111 who said that they could definitely have given a one off emergency prescription until the repeat went through, and that it was super dangerous of them to be so dismissive. Couldn’t get an appointment for a severe cyst infection, instead had to go sit at John Coupland treatment centre. Literally useless.
