Everything about our stay at The Clayton Hotel (Leeds) was really good. Our room was large, comfy and spotlessly clean. The Bar and Restaurant, was very good and reasonably priced. However the best thing about the Hotel is the staff, whether from the office, to reception, to bar, all absolutely fantastic. The hotel is situated just a short walk from the Station & close to the City Centre. We will definitely stay again. Finally the price for 2 people was a unbelievable price of £88

Please note that there were a number of issues with my room (no. 120), which I did report to the front desk. (1) The bathtub was defective, as the plug stopper could not be removed or adjusted so I had to shower in stagnant water. (2) The towels provided were damp. (3) The support handle in the shower, was rusted and following off the way. The bed was comfortable and the room was quite. I did have a good night's sleep. Eric

Great hotel, great location, very central to Leeds city centre. Has quick access to lots of shops and places to see, within a good walking distance. Rooms are a great size and the one I was in, had a single and and double bed, making it even greater value for money if you went with children. The BED WAS SUPER COMFORTABLE. Got decent sleep here. Switches are within arm reach without stretching to switch lights on/off. There isn't an overhead light so can be a tad on the dark side, but that can be countered by the swivel reading lights that you can direct where you want. Breakfast at the Clayton was superb, excellent variety, everything was fresh and warm, even offered warm plates. Breakfast here won't disappoint. English breakfast is available, pastries, oats and porridge with optional toppings of nuts and dried fruits, granola pots, smoothie shots, juices, tea/coffee, fruits and a few other items I'm sure. The room also offers a safe so you can store items you don't want to carry around with you but aren't sure about leaving behind (see pictures for size). The great thing about this hotel that I liked was they had a 24 hour room service menu (was limited to fewer items) but was still great to have as some close everything at 10 pm. So if you're arriving late, this may be a good option if you're wanting food without having to leave the hotel. I ordered the Margherita Pizza and the strawberry and cream cheesecake (see pictures) great pizza sauce I must say, base was a tad chewy but nice overall. The cheesecake was one of the frozen ones you get, so that was good obviously. Great Irish Tea is provided in the room along with coffee which is also available in decaff too. What I liked was they offered some herbal teas too as I do like these before turning in for the night. Not all hotels offer this, so it's a good too have. Bathroom is very well designed, when showering can seem a bit narrow but it's nothing to cause issues. It does have a clothesline if you want to dry your items. Only stayed for a night so can't comment on how well the towels and tea/coffee within the room are replenished. Overall, it was a great stay. Would I stay here again, yes.
