I initially got in touch with Gavin at Claytabase following a very brief search on Google, which, it has to be said, I didn’t hold too much hope for. Because I have no prior experience to dealing with developers or most IT needs, I wasn’t too sure just what a Google search would hold for me. But, as it turns out, I seem to have struck gold with Gavin and his company. My requirement has been for a simple but effective database to be customised for our company’s quite narrow niche market. Gavin not only understood what our brief was but was able to offer a simple solution based on an existing database template that he has used for other small businesses. In order to customise it for us, he enlisted the help of his colleagues who worked well and quickly imported our existing Excel spreadsheets to fit within their framework. From there, they and Gavin have honed the database to exactly what we need. The system is web based, on Claytabase servers which negates the need for us to host or backup everyday. Any queries I have had have been dealt with immediately - and I mean, immediately. It has been similar to having our own IT on demand, such is the attention to that which Claytabase have provided in their service. Whilst not wanting to tell the whole world about the high level of service for fear of causing Claytabase to get too busy, it seems only fair to actually broadcast our high level of satisfaction and wishes for Gavin and his team to prosper in the future - they deserve to.

I engaged with Claytabase on an initial 6 month contract which was extend by a further two months. Their primary objective was to assist a small team of two with a large data migration project. Sourcing data from 15 legacy systems, extracting and loading into a single solution. Their skill and expertise helped shape the approach and their concepts were applied to ensure our master data records are at there optimum. Claytabase are totally dependable and their diligence and attention to detail made the engagement trouble free. Their level of MS SQL expertise was utilized further when we encountered some heavy performance scenarios within our legacy systems. Whilst not contracted on this work, Claytabase were only too willing to get involved and help us move forward. I am genuinely looking forward to the next opportunity to work with Claytabase and I would have no hesitation in recommending them.
