The one day throwing course for beginners was great and completely exceeded my expectations. Alice was a really fun, encouraging and patient tutor for the day, and limiting the numbers on the course meant we a got focused attention. My course mates were all fab too! I'd totally recommend this course, I had absolutely no experience and came away inspired.

I absolutely loved the throwing for beginners course with Alice, and would definitely recommend it. The studio is such a calm and lovely space, and it is so rewarding finishing the course with pottery to take home. The lessons were really well paced with enough time to think creatively and feel challenged (particularly with centering the clay!). Thanks to Alice and the Clay Shed Team!

I was rubbish when I started but thanks to the patience of Dave, I am now able to produce work that I am happy to take home. Other people on the courses I have done have been amazing and do all sorts of amazing pottery. Clay Shed is really friendly and the tutors are all proper serious potters/ ceramicists.

We learned hand building, glazing and had a chance to go on the wheel. The studio is beautiful and the work produced there is so inspiring. Met some really great people on the course too.
