Just come back from getting a pair of Jacques Marie Mage sunglasses adjusted. I bought them from another retailer in the US and the acetate needed heating and could not send them back. I was advised by JMM to get an authorised retailer to get the job done. I spoke to the nearest, (Taylor-West and Co in Hove), and they said to speak with Claudine Ickeringill to get them looked at and spoke highly of the team. Joseph and Claudine were very attentive and helpful on phone and email, given the current issues with shops being closed due to COVID. Dropped the frames off to Claudine and, without charge, she had fixed them in an hour and they look great! Highly recommended and would refer anyone looking for a professional and prompt service.

I have been a customer of Claudine Ickeringill for some time now, & I wouldn't go anywhere else! In the past I have tried one of the big high street chains of opticians, but I was not impressed, as I was pretty much face against a machine while the operator just pressed buttons. With Claudine it is nothing like that what so ever, where they are very hands on with the only machines used are to carry out a highly detailed scan of your eyes in order to check your eye health etc. My last eye test was carried out by Claudine (El Jefe) herself. Not only do you get the impression that Claudine knows what she is doing, but she takes great pride in what she does. Last but not least was the choice and fitting of my new glasses, which was left in the very capable hands of Mandy. For me, getting the fit right is just as important as the eye test itself, as I wear my glasses all day long, & Mandy knew what she was doing & adjusted my glasses with ease.
