Catherine is truly outstanding. I could not recommend her enough, I have been amazed at how much progress we had made considering a few mouths ago I was afraid to sit on a horse. But due to Catherine understanding and patience me and my horse we have overcome my fears and are now ridding like I have always wanted to.Catherine has a way with not only the horses but the rider aswell. She really does care. She has an amazing way with horses and years of experience.which helped me massively with my confidence, I am so lucky to of found Cathrine she has truly changed my life.

Really loved having Catherine out to see my mare. She made me and my daughter feel very comfortable and the horse was very relaxed with her. I thought there was a few problems but couldn’t put my finger on it and Catherine’s assessment made total sense. Catherine checked all of the mares body over and found areas of soreness. She checked the saddle and explained why it wasn’t a good fit and this could be causing some of the problems. My daughter had the most amazing lesson with her and what I loved about Catherine’s teachings is she explains the horses behaviour when being ridden and how my daughter was holding herself affects the horse. Catherine is very knowledgeable and we will definitely have Catherine regularly. The Masterson Method is very beneficial not only to the horse but also the rider, cannot recommend her highly enough. For a while now I have been rather disillusioned with the typical standard of dressage tuition available and was looking for someone to guide me and my horse Rio, who has issues from past training, as well as physical issues. Catherine and I were reacquainted and as a previous review mentioned, I too believe in serendipity and when the pupil is ready the teacher will appear. I look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with Catherine and my horses, already I understand Rio a lot more fully and we are addressing his physical issues with the Masterson technique, which is very effective. Catherine has also treated Kestrel my other horse and he is really looking brighter and more comfortable as a result. Today, he left his hay in the field and deliberately came over. I'd like to think it was a thank you for yesterdays treatment. That's all I ask for,. Happy healthy horses and Catherine is now a permanent part of my journey towards that.

Sometimes in life we have the opportunity to cross path with someone like Catherine. I absolutely believe in serendipity and that things are meant to happen and that there is a right time and right place for everyone and everything. I was first interested to learn more about Catherine when I heard of her combined skill set - a deep understanding of horse’s mind, psychology and behaviour, deep expertise in the horse’s physiology and physical well-being , suppleness and relaxation, and lastly expertise in what I call a ‘horse centric’ way of riding - classical dressage. Let me tell you - this is a hard combination to find. A diamond in the dust because there are many that claim the above but can’t make it tangible and teachable. Having worked with Catherine since October of this year and having weekly sessions with her, I cannot put into words how invaluable and precious Catherine’s skill set truly is. I do not believe that there is anyone around quite like her. If I want to learn from someone it’s Catherine. I have been very fortunate to have come across her when I needed her most - I had bought a young and green mare who I knew was a very nice horse that I didn’t want to spoil with my lack of knowledge. Catherine is helping me understand how to grow my mare’s spirit, how to work with her and build a trusting partnership. She has also taught me an incredible amount about myself. Describing Catherine’s way and being is hard to put into a short online review. She really is a special teacher and friend.

I have been lucky enough to have Catherine treat my horse with the masterson method and have riding lessons with her. I was sceptical about the masterson method but watched my beautiful boy transform in front of my eyes. It was incredible to watch but left my horse feeling more incredible still. I am returning to 'proper' riding after some time off following injuries and challenging personal circumstances. Catherine leaves me sky high after every lesson, taking away something achievable to practice. After my first lesson my horse was completely different. He was tuned in, keen to learn and felt great to ride not to mention relaxed. Although it is hard work to change my position, practically it gives me a more secure seat and one which is already allowing me to start to get the best from us both. Her kind approch leaves you and the horse feeling really quite pleased with yourself! No nastiness, blame or finger pointing. Combined with the masterson method you know you are getting the best from your horse instead of asking questions he just cannot answer in his current physical state. Highly recommended especially to anyone lacking confidence and really wanting to work things through from the physical to mental processes with their horses. I can't wait for the future.
