Great garage. Knowledgeable about my specific car (old mini) and they were helpful answering all my questions I had, having just bought the car. They booked me in for an afternoon slot and they completed the work on that afternoon in good time and I was able to collect that evening and they kept me updated the whole way with cost etc via email. Highly reccomend.

Easy to get to and very accessible, staff always explain what they are doing and will listen to requests. The yard is a treasure trove of amazing cars waiting for their turn to be fixed. I used the Classic Car Mechanic to recommission one of my classic cars. Over a period of 10 weeks that they had the car, I had to chase them on progress and it only seemed to move forward once I had chased them. The estimate went from an original £900 to a final bill of £4,000 as they found additional things that needed fixing, despite them charging me £108 at the outset for a vehicle health check to identify the extent of work required. I had to ask them to remove items from the final invoice that been charged on earlier invoices. I wouldn’t have minded the total cost, if they had completed the work however when I collected the car it broke down two miles up the road, the car still had many of the same issues that it originally went in with such as petrol leaking from the carburettors. In addition to this, the front passenger seat had been removed and not refitted, heater ducting removed and not replaced, Speedo cable not fitted, brakes repaired but now the pedal almost reaches the floor and needs to be bled again. They said that the car needed new engine mounts and gearbox mounts, which I supplied, however the engine mounts weren’t fitted and one of the gearbox mounts not fitted. I could go on….. They did offer to fix the problems, which I declined as I had lost all faith in them. Probably the worst experience I have ever had dealing with a business. Nice guys, but failed to deliver on service, communication and quality of work. Services: Oil change, Auto engine diagnostic, Electrical repair, Brakes
