We hear how much the new attractions cost but the toilets on the pier are absolutely disgusting the gents urine filled floor no soap to wash hands and freezing cold water at hand basins .it seems to me that the toilets do not return an income so why bother disgusting

Well considering we've had beautiful weather for the past week. My Husband, myself and our ickle dog Daisy arrived at Clacton,with quite a substantial breeze,lots of families playing in the sea,sand and just having the best time......Then the rain came..so we sheltered under a cafe ,and both had an omelette, n lattes...The food arrived together, was nice(wouldn't say)value for money. As it came to£21!!!! After our meal we had a stroll along the promenade, we were treated to a live singer, the top end of the promenade (Clacton pier)...seemed where all the action was.. There's, a big ferris wheel,all your usual funfair attractions..... BUT... just a we were leaving. I spotted a police man. Dressed in all the (old style )police uniform, he had a "Noddy Bike" Velocette...1952, had done only 11000 miles...His name was Brian, he used to be a Policeman and when he retired he still wanted to promote the police...He was a very well spoken friendly Man.. and was very happy to answer my Questions. On our way out of the promenade, going to the car,I noticed a plaque which had "Sir Winston Churchills " name...so I'll include the plaque..
