Just found these guys last night after my usual butchers was closed. Absolutely gutted I haven't used them sooner!! The meat selection and quality is great. They are super knowledgeable about their products and sources. The shop itself is clean and modern but still has a classic butcher feel. (Weirdly I'm also going to say the shop itself smells fantastic, just a random thing I noticed). I only say this because this is more than just a standard butcher, they stock a whole bunch of other useful products like rubs, sauces etc that will go well with whatever you are there for. The 2 guys working there are very welcoming and friendly, we had a good chat, bit of banter and a chortle about different meat related things. True this isn't the cheapest place to get meat but I'm presuming you go to a butcher because you want a custom or superior product and experience to the plastic wrapped stuff you get in Aldi or Lidl, right? Having said that I spent about £50 on 2 beast sized steaks (I asked for these to be about £15 each anyway), plus a mix of different flavoured sausages, a couple of pre-wrapped and stuffed chicken breasts, some massive beef meatballs and I feel like that was all pretty good value for what I walked away with. It's sad to see some planks have knocked this place a bit on google reviews, I'm not sure why because I will certainly be going back for the tomahawks next time I'm over that way. Cheers gents!!
