    Horrible experience being on waiting and getting passed around from one person to another for just under 10 minutes until I had to hang up. While I was on waiting I kept hearing all of those fancy adverts how great CityGate is to repair all cars, buy and service certain cars, ..... but the very basic skill you need as a start is to actually speak to your customers ! I gave up, not a great start

    Really bad experience in general with them. Having had my less than 2 year old Cupra in with them twice before for a number of fixes, none of which were actually sorted and in the end I gave up. Until recently when a new set of faults appeared which needed to be looked at. I was met with an 8 week wait to book my car in. Due to unforseen circumstances, I then needed to ammend the date of this booking a week before it was due in, to which I was then met with a furhter 7 week wait before I could book in again. The guy on the phone was rude, and couldn't care less about the situtation. Might have been a one off, by none of my experiences with this dealership have been great.

    Some terrible service which I have received from this dealership, I understand that time to time dealerships will be busy and may not be able to provide courtesy vehicles (which you pay for regardless) so I was booked for a vehicle diagnostics for the 15th December 2022 about two months prior to the investigation date, the day came along and I went in to hand the vehicle with the keys, and the lady who was checking me started consulting with who I believe was her manager, discussing vehicles to probably give which again wasn’t the issue, until I heard that they only got a certain vehicle left and added a couple ifs and buts and what not regarding availability. How come they didn’t know I was booked in for this date for a courtesy vehicle two months prior? As I was being checked in they tried telling me I shouldn’t have been book in Citygate in Reading due to lack of equipment and should have been send to Slough? Is that my fault? Being recommend to have it looked at KwikFit.. Took a day off from work for this extra unnecessary hassle which should’ve been dealt internally, waste of trip and 50 minutes in traffic. Well done Citygate Reading👏

    Fair to say I had a terrible experience with Seat Reading, I bought a car with them during early 2022. I was due to collect the car so I could properly view and check over the car before finalising the purchase, however the agreed date was moved by the garage as the car needed an MOT and the garage hadn't realised! For the inconvenience they said they will deliver the car to me as I live some 70 miles away which I though was a useful and reasonable gesture. When asking the condition of the car I was told that there is no issues with the bodywork or internals of the car whatsoever - 'good as new' (the vehicle was circa 3 years old). When the car was finally delivered it was dark at night and I could not properly check over the vehicle until the following day. Upon check of the vehicle I found lots of issues with bodywork scratches, chips, a chipped windscreen alongside stains on the suede seats and damage to the inside of the doors. I contacted Seat Reading who were far from helpful and I felt like I needed to plead with them to even be heard with a comment back of 'these items were not present when the car left the garage'.... the issues were evident. Following much back and fourth, I agreed to drive the car back to the garage for rectification works to be completed (140mile round trip) and re collect the car the following week. Even after collecting the car the issues were clearly not resolved and I decided I wanted to return the car for a refund. The garage eventually accepted my stance but would only offer me 15,800 of the 17,000 I had paid for the vehicle. Since returning the car I have been in touch with the sales manager on around 4 occasions in an attempt for them to send across the V5 number for me to cancel the car tax (admittedly I should have done this on the day of return), despite my many attempts I have been left ignored by the garage. I would recommend to stay away from this garage altogether!
