Beautiful place, but far for university students. The main issue I had was the electric meter was going triple the speed, and no matter how many times I called to change it, the dumb people providing energy didn't know anything about electric meters.

This review relates only to buying a flat in City Island, not living there. The short version is: don't. Whilst the development has the rare advantage of an EWS certificate, it also has the enormous disadvantage of a management agency who took over 10 weeks NOT to action a simple request from the purchaser's lawyers. Despite the purchaser persuading the lender to extend the mortgage offer, the management agency was still unable, after 10 weeks, to supply basic information despite a torrent of reminders. It is impossible to know which of the three bodies involved ( IPM, local management, or the freeholders) made such a hash of this, but after months of trying, the sale has now fallen though. You have been warned.
