The service I received from Lauren and Eleanor and the team was absolutely first class from start to finish.   Update: City CV contacted me after this review, and offered to re-write my CV, which was very good of them. I have that now and will see if it’s any more successful than the last. I’ll update again in a few weeks with results… I’m undecided, so 3 stars. They seem very professional and I’m sure they must have lots of satisfied customers. But it didn’t make the difference I hoped in my case. After numerous applications where I didn’t get past the ATS, I got my last contract through my ‘old’ CV. Similarly, the only feedback I’ve had on my ‘new’ LinkedIn profile is that it’s over-long and a bit woolly. So I’m reverting, with a lesson learned. I wouldn’t say don’t do it - just think carefully if it’s right for you.

  There are many companies that can write your cv for you, but to find one that truly understands your role and what your future job looks like is rare, city cv truly have the key experts in the security field they take the time to listen to you and make sure they get it right to where you need to go, the expertise was refreshing absolute security key experts would recommend to everyone, a true personal service and more importantly is after the cv is completed they stay with you, this company if for life.   I recently got a job at a global information technology firm and I couldn't have done it without the help of City CV and Tim (my assigned coach). Eleanor was my first interaction with the company and right from the start she made me feel comfortable and understood. She then advised me on what services might be best suited to me and gave me time to think about it all, which I really appreciated. I was then matched with Tim who ensured my CV, Cover Letter and LinkedIn profile were marketed towards the industry I was targeting and the results were quick. I was getting invited to interviews and to complete online assessments, and eventually was also contacted on LinkedIn by the recruiter that gave me the chance to get the job that I now have. To put things into context before working with Tim and City CV I would often get straight rejections and I was certainly not being contacted by recruiters from global firms. So it is safe to say that City CV boosted my employability. When it came to interviewing I also didn’t have much success in the past and would even say it was my weakness. However, with Tim’s support I managed to get through three rounds of interviews and receive an offer from the first firm that gave me a chance (I especially found the mock interview and feedback session to be key in my success in getting through the interviews). So it is safe to say that City CV’s methods overall yield results. I would highly recommend City CV especially if you’re looking for direction in regards to your career strategy and support to follow through on that plan.

  Please don't hesitate to reach out to City CV. I used their coaching and CV writing services and both were excellent! I received job offers quite quickly and I was also able to negotiate my current role, leaving me with more options than I could have imagined before working with City CV. I gained the confidence to be much bolder in my career and it has led to a day-to-day working life that is a much better fit for me. I would recommend them to anyone. I would also note that I'm based in the United States and City CV was more than accommodating with the time difference. They also matched me with a coach who had experience in the U.S. market of my field.

  I have always struggled with interviews, as I wasn't sure how to master the process, so I looked into coaching from City CV. They were extremely quick to support at short notice, and found time time to coach me over the weekend for an interview the following Monday. They helped me conquer my fears and put myself, my skills and experience across in the best light. I was offered the job on the Tuesday and I can't thank them enough! It's one of the best investments I've ever made.
