The Cinnamon Tree used to be the go-to local place - great food etc. We haven't been for a number of years since their last refurb when we didn't have a good experience (not romantic - no curtains, bright lights, part decorated.)Roll on a few years and a treat to go out. On my booking I'd requested to be sat away from the speaker; we were placed directly under it. No bother, it was quiet when we arrived and the music was quiet. The service was quite slow but ok. The food wasn't super hot, rather more room temperature and actually, and sadly, didn't have much flavour though on a plus side it wasn't laden with salt. I did notice the tables put together next to us but thought it would be ok. However, when the party of 16 arrived and got into the evening they were as raucous as raucous could be. We could not hear each other or speak over the noise. It was a very very disappointing evening. Do note that they do not sell alcohol.

THE best Indian restaurant! Food is always top quality, and staff are so friendly and accommodating. There’s nowhere else my mum and I would go to get a curry! Definitely recommended if you are in the area (or even if you’re not- it’s worth travelling to). Vegetarian options: Really yummy!
