We had the most amazing stay at Churn Barn. The house is wonderfully comfortable and has everything you could possibly need. The location is perfect if you are looking to explore the Peak District. I cannot say enough about our host Stacey, she went over and above for us, top host! Will definitely return.

Another winning weekend at Stacey’s wonderful place! And 10th anniversary visit for our girls walking group. We were all that bit creakier but Churn Barn was as welcoming as ever. Great facilities, stunning scenery on the doorstep and a really convenient location. Would highly recommend!

Stacey was amazing...! Our weekend away was originally booked for my Wife's 30th birthday but then the pandemic hit. Stacey was really understanding and allowed us to rebook. Fast forward 18 months and it greatly exceeded our expectations. The Location - 5* Accomodation - 5* Host - 5* Stacey was amazing at recommending activities, walks and food which all helped us enjoy a lovely weekend. We went to the Old Hall Inn, Chinley which was about a 5-10 minute walk and had a great dinner, much more than "pub grub". The walk the following day that Stacey recommend just out of the back of the property and looped back round was amazing and not too "advanced". The kitchen space (whilst difficult to cook a Sunday Roast for 12 people) was spacious and had all the equipment, pans etc needed for the weekend away. The Hot Tub was a nice extra as well as the games room which gave everyone something to do throughout the day. Overall, 5*, would come again, would recommend and would like to thank Stacey for a great weekend away! P.S - Only criticism... You need new photos as its so much bigger and spacious than the pictures make out!

We were two families totalling 11 and we all had a great time at Churn Barn. The facilities, and especially the hot tub and home made brownies, were excellent. The property has loads of space and we really enjoyed the games room where rivalry was fierce. The location is spot on for exploring the peak district and the town has a good Indian Restaurant that does take-away. We would recommend the Lamb Inn where we all had a superb Sunday lunch. Overall a great relaxing weekend and would definitely return.

An absolutely fabulous house with stunning views and a very interesting history. Originally a milking barn it has been respectfully converted into a luxury 6 bedroom holiday let the 4 bathrooms meet we never had an issue with waiting around for a shower. A huge kitchen and spacious living room makes it ideal for large families. The dining table comfortably seats 12 people and the games room, complete with a Table Tennis, Pool, Table Football and a TV and games console is a great place to unwind. Plenty of fridge space, Washing Machine and tumble dryer were very handy. We opted for the Hot Tub which was a real treat. It’s well worth thinking about but I would suggest you ask the owner if they think it would be suitable as some age restrictions apply. The property is secured by electric gates for which you are given a fob to open and close them. There is also a front door so access was not a problem for us even on the days when we split up. Stacey, the owner was lovely and gave us a warm welcome when we arrived and gave lots of suggestions of the nags we could do when we asked. Follow ChurnBarn on Facebook as there is a lot of interesting information posted there. The village of Chinley has a superb tea room (Tea on the Green) who do a fantastic Cream Tea for £10:50 (July 2019), and The Chinley Chippy do great value fish and chips which were really tasty. Churn Barn is ideally located for those who enjoy the countryside, walking and National Trust. If you joined NT at the start of a week here you could easily pay for you ur membership by the time you go home. I would strongly recommend this as a great place to stay. There were 11 of us so the cost of a weeks holiday was a real bargain for what we got.
