Former female almshouses dating from the 1820’s restored and repurposed as park offices, conference facility, storage and a cafe. The English garden, (facing south) dedicated to local civilian victims of a WWI Zeppelin attack, a seasonal delight. The space constraints in no way impacting on the gardening expertise evident here. This exquisite evocation an ornament and boast to the park’s gardening team.

This is a nice small garden with lots of plants, trees and varieties of colourful floral plants. There are benches kept to sit so you can read a book or enjoy some quiet time. Its a really calm feeling. The entrance is ♿ accessible friendly. There are acccessible toilets just outside the garden. The Park Cafe is adjacent to the garden. The garden is generally clean.
