Run by a team both incapable of, and entirely unwilling to, address issues. Laughable. My combi-oven and heating both broke in Summer 2022. In October 2022 they replaced the Combi-Oven with an unsuitable Microwave-Grill. When I first complained and asked for it to be replaced, they told me that it was an oven and I just didn't know to use it, even though the manual that came with it mentions nothing about an oven function. They then ignored my emails for over a month, and when they finally responded to me they said that I had to find an alternative for them to send to the landlord of the room. I then waited 28 days for a response, and on following up in mid-January, I was told the request had been rejected. In terms of the heating, apparently the team have been waiting for "wires" since November. They fitted a plug onto the heater and told me to plug it into an extension cable which is a massive fire risk as it could easily overload and start a fire. Trying to get anything sorted in this building means going around in circles - because no one is willing to actually do or take responsibility for anything - until you get so sick of it that you just give up. Terrible.

Virtually no hot water, Landlords/Xenia are unresponsive and do not seem to want to engage themselves with the issue. No apologies, no compensation. Nothing, just a "we're working on it".

If you value hot running water, then look elsewhere. Hot water is a constant issue here due to an outdated boiler, and getting through to anyone at headoffice is impossible. Receptionist staff are lovely though and do what they cant to help.

No hot water for laughable periods of time, run by a company completely unwilling to proactively adress the issue, or at the very least compensate tenants, for what is a very clear breach of contract. Would not reccomended to any new or continuing students in Chester.

So… my old review was very harsh but true initially the run of this building was shockingly poor. But it’s been more than made up for by the new staff! They are attentive and really great! The old staff were rude and unhelpful and head office could still take some work but these people have more than made up for it! They are on hand immediately when anything goes wrong and listen to our issues and help best they can. A really great end to my year here! I would now recommend to anyone staying in Chester. Good distance to both the uni and city centre! 💖
