I just had my last french lesson with Lucille. She is a really good teacher, she has a great understanding of the language and how to teach it. She is also really kind and empathetic so I feel I can just “try it out” with her. I would highly recommend her to anyone. We are making our move to France this week so I won’t be continuing with the lessons ( I would love to but I really like doing them in person). Hopefully I can find another teacher as good as her, but I doubt it! Many thanks for finding her for me. I have loved it.

I would rather give zero stars if there was an option, I am disappointed in the Nottingham service, a lady called Clare responded to my enquiry in a rude and ignorant manner, the response I got was short and bitter, she made the assumption that I couldn't afford the prices just because I told her that I'm not in employment, but I was just trying to ask if the price covers just one hour alone or if it covers all the hours of the day in total?, that was all, but I reckon she probably ment that £39 is paid for every one separate hour and does not cover all the hours per day, hence why her response after this telling me that "I'm sorry but the prices are fixed, we cannot offer our service to you, you need to look elsewhere" she said this on purpose without taking the time to read proper what I was actually asking, these people just like to look down on low class people who are not in employment and £39 just for one hour on its own is a rip off, not everyone is a fast paced learner and not everyone can remember everything automatically in just one hour, it would make fair sense if £39 covered 3 hours for each day, but instead they will charge you £39 for 1 hour per day, if you have Autism, ADHD or Mental Health problems etc (unfortunately I have all of them), I would not recommend this service if you're a slow learner, they will take advantage of you, as they will be quick to grab your money and will rush you through the lesson, services that provide short and ignorant responses are usually the services that won't support you but instead will look down on you, rush you and belittle you, if you want to learn a language then Duolingo is your best bet at this rate, since they make the service they provide fairly matched with the prices they charge and they are an app not a human being.

Couldn’t recommend more highly. Clare took the time to understand my son’s requirements and he had trials with two tutors before deciding which suited him better. Clare has continued to be a reassuring presence in the background throughout. I hesitate to publicise how fantastic Dorothee is as a French tutor for fear that we will never get her back! My son’s French improved dramatically as a result of Dorothee’s focused, highly organised and professional tutoring during lockdown. My concerns that he would lose the ability to converse in French as a result of online work have been allayed. She is a superb teacher.
