Casey from The Essex & Kent Handyman was brilliant, we had a very large IKEA wardrobe that we needed dismantling and rebuilding after new carpets where installed, he turned up on time had great communication, the rebuild was very difficult and tried his patience but he accomplished it and it looks great. I would have never had the patience and would never had been able to get it back together so it would have meant buying and entirely new wardrobe and then getting that built! From the beginning they were very responsive. Jake arrived to install a flatpack wardrobe which had to be cut to fit around some stair boxing. He was very thorough in ensuring that it was done properly and to the best standard possible. He worked quickly and efficiently and tidied up before he left. Great job and would highly recommend. Needed my electricity box, boxed in. A very young guy arrived, & suggested to boxed my electricity box with a panel rather than doors as before. Just need 4 little screws to take panel off as I need access to my Meter if it ever trips out & would make it look tidy, instead I got 5 longest screws to unscrew which I did once he had left which took me nearly an hour to unscrew which was 5 screws not 4 then to top it off he had mastic the whole panel on!!!! Therefore could not take the panel off if I needed to get to my electricity box. Was offered the young guy back again but in the night the whole panel fell off on top of my dog & badly hurt his leg, ripped the wallpaper & the coving so I was back to where I was with damaged wallpaper & coving.. at a cost of nearly £250!!!! My partner had to correct as totally lost faith having this very young lad around again. A couple of days later his wife phoned to offer a part refund which over 2 weeks on, had completely nothfing back!!! Well overpriced for this job went ahead as thought they were professionals.Clearly not.. Never again & I was made to feel it was all my fault.. Service: Home maintenance & repairs
