Booked a taxi on 25th May for 26th May at 19:25, taxi didn't arrive until 19:45 after 2 phone calls to chase it up - dispatch didn't know how many people were travelling, and as we were going to a wedding reception it meant we missed some of the older guests who wanted to get home. Booked a second taxi on 25th May for the 26th May again, for 23:55 - didn't turn up. Multiple phone calls to check where it was, and was told there wasn't a taxi available for the size of our party (even though we booked it the day before). Told them to send 2 taxis as it was then 00:20, and told them we would only be paying the original fare (£16), dispatch had an appalling attitude but confirmed it would cost the same price. It was getting to the point where some of our party were going to walk over fields in the middle of the night to get a car and pick the rest of us up. Two taxis arrived and cost £20, to travel 2 miles. We eventually got home at 00:40. Would have rated this 1 star however the drivers were amazing and really friendly. Dispatch need to have a better attitude and try to at least be apologetic/sympathetic when they have messed up. Totally understand it was really busy yesterday due to York races however what is the point in prebooking? My advice would be to choose pay in taxi if you prebook as there's a likelihood you may need to book a different taxi to get home.
