Awful experience, purchased a £42k Audi a5, when I turned up it was getting machine polished outside exposed to all the elements. Body work was in a poor state, told them I would get my own valeter to machine polish it due to their poor repair work. Now 8 months after buying the car, the rear wheel arch is rusting! Been to 2 paint work experts and they’ve confirmed it’s been resprayed poorly. Contacted the dealership to get this sorted and they’re denying its been re-sprayed from themselves. Bought the car as an ex-demo so only the dealership would have touched the vehicle in terms of a repair. Now I’m being forced to use my own money to repair the rust which wasn’t my fault!? Avoid this dealership, once they have your money they don’t care.

Don’t let Chingford Audi service your car, took my daughters car there for a service and they didn’t tighten the sump bolt and within two days the car run out of oil. My daughter was driving and heard a rattling noise then the temperature warning light came on so she pulled over immediately and turned car off. It was Friday evening so they where closed, luckily she had road assistance and they towed her home. Next day she called them and the lady that deals with service was really rude and told her it’s up to us to get the car to her because they might not be responsible even though we knew it was all there fault. We had to wait till Monday before Jodie the manager called my daughter and arranged for a mechanic to come to the house to check the car. He put oil in it and drove it back to Audi, apparently checked it and drove it back and said it’s ok. We never got a proper apology, we never got some confirmation that the engine isn’t damaged, no guarantee to say that if anything happens to engine in the near future because of there serious mistake they would be responsible. They left oil splashes on engine when they poured oil in plus break fluid from when they changed the break fluid and didn’t have the Curtesy to clean the engine or even the car. Jodie the manager was supposed to call my daughter and hasn’t even bothered. Very disappointed, we bought the car there from new in 2017 and had every service done there since and this is how we get treated. Be warned don’t let Chingford Audi go anywhere near your car, they obviously think they’re above the law and I will be talking to our lawyer to see our next step. Would like to add that since my review I received a call from Frank the manager at Chingford. He arranged to have the car picked up and left a curtesy car for my daughter. They had a pressure test done and checked everything on computer to make sure there was no lasting damage and was pleased to know that the car passed all tests and is ok. The car was cleaned and delivered back to us. Even though these mistakes should never happen we appreciate that Frank dealt with this problem even though it should never of happened.

0 star service. Appalling service from the very start to the very end. Very bad experience overall with the Service department, and too many basic (and worrying) mistakes along the line…: [Edited: pictures attached - During the first motorway trip following the work done at their dealership I hear a big rattling noise under my car. I had to get recovery service to fix mistakes from Chingford Audi. They did not screw some element properly, and there were missing screws… very worrying and dangerous !!! ] (i) Impossible to book appointment shortly — I hope you won’t have any issues that need urgently to be fixed as you cannot book an appointment in less than almost 2 months. (ii) upfront £120 charge — They charge you for an upfront cost for a diagnostic (that could only turn out to be to plug a computer to your car and get an error code…) (iii) Expensive — Everything is so expensive in all their services that you feel ripped off just by passing the branch door. (iv) Not transparent — They called me a few months ago for an « emission/adblue recall » which I realised some time after was actually a change to gearbox setting… they abuse of the clients naivety. (v) Advisors’ Turnover — People keep changing in the Service department so due to that high turnover you cannot really have a continuity in your exchanges. (vi) No Courtesy car available — last time When I brought it for the recall a few months ago, I book long time in advance to arrange for a courtesy car, and when they called the day before to confirm, it is only when I asked to confirm the booking of it that they told me there was not any available. So only then I had to rearrange for another date when they can guarantee to have one available. (vii) Ultimately, I unfortunately had no choice to have my car with them now to diagnose a brake fault issue with red warning showing off. (viii) they charge £120 upfront for any diagnostic… (ix) Incl. Labour costs in your quote! — I was given the cost of repairs; and some time after when I ask for the split between parts and labour I am told that they made a mistake and the price they communicated to me ‘it was cost not including Labour costs’… are they joking, really? (x) ‘cherry on the cake’: ultimately when I receive my invoice, it is not what I have been quoted for and they have added an additional 1h of labour to the price I have been quoted and communicating during all our exchanges… (xi) last but not least, I asked them to check a minor thing I though was broken; they checked and told me everything is ok but when I collect my car I ask to double check and I am told ‘yes something is broken’. But too late to have if fixed then… basic mistakes over basic mistakes… Over and over and again. (xii) and you could imagine of course that the car was not ready (not washed yet) when coming to collect it… adding to the wait and frustration… - Disappointed - Dissatisfied - Angry - Frustrated - - Shocking bad service - basic mistakes - - worrying and dangerous mistakes -

I went in with my wife and 11 year old daughter . We were welcomed by Mr Barrington Lewis and we asked to see the Q7 . Mr Lewis looked as up and down and said “ Your wife would not be able to get her nails done and you would have no food for your daughter “ . I was extremely shocked , my English is not very good so I was limited to what I could say then unfortunately. Terrible experience , no one should judge like that just because we didn’t fit “his criteria “ . My wife and I are hard working people and do not deserve this type of treatment . No one does !
