Absolutely appalled with the service to be honest. Queue times will always be at least 45 mins to an hour wait. I was caller 28 and requested to be called back in time with my queue number yet an hour and a half later no call back. This doctor’s surgeries all over Basingstoke need serious support and really need to look into recruiting new staff whether it’s in office or remote working. Not happy at all

They've always been very helpful and non dismissive in my time here. Both me and my son are registered here and I feel they genuinely want to help. The nurse practitioners are all very friendly and have dealt with them more than the actual doctors and they've always been very attentive and caring towards both me and my boy. Only giving 4 stars because sometimes communication isn't the best between notes put on and them actually being read but they've always sorted things as best as possible

Having moved to Chineham back in the 80’s I have experienced nothing but steady decline since the regular stalwart Doctors have retired. The practice suffers from being oversubscribed due to all the new housing developments making getting appointments nearly impossible. The over reliance on technology to do everything online is creating a generation of patients being discriminated against and excluded through no fault of their own. A sad reflection of our current indifferent society that puts profits before people.

"You are caller 2 in the queue" and it takes over 30 mins to get through to be clumsiliy 'advised' by a receptionist as to the meaning of test results, which they were struggling to read off the screen!! After saying I needed to speak to someone to understand the outcome, a telephone GP appointment to discuss is now set for 2 months time, yes TWO months time. An absolutely abysmal service, for which the NHS and the local Integrated health Partnership should be ashamed.

Contacted GP regarding a non-urgent issue. Was asked to use 'e-consult' facility or something to self-refer for a test and subsequent phone call. What's the point of having a surgery if patients have to book tests and appointments in? Booked the test & was told follow up cannot be booked until tests are done. Tests done in Feb 2023, informed that 'a doctor will look at your results and get back to you'. To date in April 2023, nobody has contacted me via phone, email, SMS, or letter. My wife has had similar experiences, asked to organise own referrals and appointments. The surgery once even cancelled an appointment that she booked a month earlier, did not offer a replacement appointment or phone call, and told her to rebook. Essentially a big 'FU' to the patient. Utterly substandard service. I have not met the actual doctors so I will not comment on the clinical aspect. Would not recommend.

Got appointment same day for my condition. Receptionist dealt with it quick and escalate it appropriately. Nurse called back within an hour and very professional too. This is not the first time I have the same quality of service from this practice. Thank you Chineham Medical Practice.
