I ordered the logs for the first time quite recently. The delivery man was super helpful and stacked the logs really well. However the logs were extremely damp and hard to light. When I finally could get them to burn - which was with great difficulty - they smoked a great deal and kept going out. I ended up using a shed load of kindling (ordered from elsewhere so it was good and dry) and tons of firelighters. So not cost effective at all, and just really hard work to try and keep a simple fire going. It shouldn’t be this difficult. I emailed Chris about it but never even received a reply. Very disappointed.

I have used chiltern logs for several years and was very pleased with the service. Unfortunately the last load of logs I received were poor quality, extremely hard to light and generated much more smoke than heat. i received were very poor, hard to light and generated much more smoke than heat. A shame i have used chiltern

1st time I've ordered logs from Chris. Excellent service and really nice logs. Logs not just tipped on the drive meaning no messy bits to clear up. Moved by wheelbarrow to my log store at the rear of the house and beautifully stacked. Will definitely use Chiltern again and have no hesitation in recommending them.
