I used this service in Stockport and would advise people against doing the same. The mediator was very biased and didn't properly summarise the discussions. Despite being a legal service, the agreed upon mediation was immediately ignored and seems to carry no legal weight. This has led to me becoming estranged from my children, the very thing that this profession service is intended to avoid.

I was faced with any separated father worst nightmare, communication broke down with my child’s mother, I had no idea how I could communicate with my son. The service worked to help me massively; from the initial referral stage through to the mediation session. The mediator was calm, compassionate, completely impartial and acted in a controlled and professional manner to agree an outcome to progress with the ultimate result of being able to reconnect with my son following the COVID-19 pandemic. I felt the mediator listened and expertly managed the meeting between my sons mother and myself. I am eternally grateful in her efforts to help me. I would strongly advise anybody who is in a similar situation to disperse of any pre conceptions of what mediation would be like, and take my experience as a positive way of using the service when all else fails. When faced with situations where communication is impossible between two parents of a child, mediation is the answer and I hope you can get the rewards that it can provide.

Please Avoid.. Waste your Time Your unlikely to receive any written Communication Nice as Pie until they take your money. 48 mins of telephone talk over 6 weeks and 3 days and 2 emails. poor advice.Once they take your money until you pay double the amount you'll possibly be left high and dry with a worse situation I self referred. I am a grandmother wanting structred contact with my grandchild. It's a battle this company has now created a war for me.They phoned my ex daughter in- law without my premission and will not disclosure with me what was discussed until I pay more. Nothing in writing little evidence you've tried this 1st if you have to use the court system. Dont be fooled with there impressive website like I was.. I would give 0 rating if there was the option. On a positive the receptionist had a nice manner. However no one was every available or 'on another line' and repeatedly had to call you back. This company has violated my emotional vulnerability.
