Stay away from Chestertons if you can. Terrible, unresponsive agents who only want your money. Urgent repairs are ignored for weeks; no 24h notice for entry/viewings. Absolutely unacceptable.

terrible experience trying to buy a house with Chestertons. despite being registered with them for over two years we have missed out on off market properties that go to preferred clients. this impacts the vendor too who potentially misses out on a higher price by not offering to all the registered buyers. despite a frank discussion with the manager about this, it continues. on one occasion we were left waiting outside a property for an hour when the estate agent didn't turn up even though my partner had made a special trip back from working abroad to view. there was no apology or consideration for our time. rude and patronising.

Having been on the market for several months with another agent we moved to Chestertons. By now we were on a tight timeline as we wanted to sell the house before a move abroad. The difference in the quality of the team and the effort displayed by Chestertons was immediately impressive. Within a week we had multiple second viewings - and then an offer for asking price, which we accepted. When this buyer proved to be entirely ill-prepared for buying a property, Scott & Kevin at Chestertons immediately stepped in and went back to the other interested parties. They secured a new (cash) buyer within one day. Exchange in a week and we have now completed - with a truly incredible buyer. Kevin and Scott at Chestertons made the whole process not only professional and streamlined but human and, dare I say, fun too. Compared to the original agents they were a dream to work with. I can't recommend them highly enough.
