FAQ

What specific services and resources does your association provide for veterans and their families?

We are actually a youth organization for young people aged 12-18 who are interested in the military and outdoor activities. As such, we do not provide specific services and resources for veterans and their families. However, we do offer opportunities for young people to learn about the Armed Forces and potential career paths in the military.

Can you provide information on the membership process and any associated fees?

To become a member of our organization, interested individuals can attend one of our weekly parade nights and speak with our staff. There is no fee to join as we are funded by the Ministry of Defence and local community. However, members may be responsible for purchasing their own uniform and equipment.

How does your association advocate for and support current and former members of the Armed Forces?

As mentioned before, we are a youth organization and do not specifically advocate for or support current and former members of the Armed Forces. However, we do instill values such as discipline, teamwork, and leadership in our cadets, which may be beneficial for those considering or currently serving in the military.

Are there any limitations on who can join your association (e.g. specific branches of the military)?

Our organization is open to young people aged 12-18 regardless of their background or military affiliation. We do not require or prioritize membership from any specific branch of the military.

What types of events and community outreach programs does your association offer for its members and the wider veteran community?

We offer a variety of activities and training opportunities for our cadets, including drill and ceremonial training, adventure training, and first aid training. While we do not specifically offer events or programs for the wider veteran community, we do participate in local community events and parades to promote awareness of the Armed Forces.
