I was unfortunate enough to be one of Audrey's patients back in 2004. Audrey failed to pick apart what was actually happening at home, that my mother's partner was violent and emotionally abusive. Instead she labelled me as difficult and challenging and "unwilling to look at her own behaviours and strategies to avoid conflict such as spending periods of time away with extended family and friends". What a way to make a vulnerable child feel more secure than by giving the suggestion of putting them out of the picture. She closed my case after only a few short months. Another member of CAMHS picked it up and spoke much more positively and was able to find some resolves. As someone who now works with children it saddens me to hear she is still operating under the guise of a psychiatrist/psychologist when she most definitely doesn't have the best interest of the children she works with at heart. This is evident from more recent reviews that have been left by others. Unfortunately I'll probably need therapy to unpick the lasting damage. Do the right thing and don't subject your child to this awful excuse of a mental health practitioner... Please...

Audrey Oppenheimer saw my exhusband before me and made up her mind from his hatred. She then made personal attacks on me in my daughter's sessions instead of trying to help. I have full custody of our children, our son hasnt seen his father by choice since he turned 16 in 2019, my daughter later made the same choice. Hugely unprofessional.

I have phoned this practice twice and left 2 voicemails seeking an appointment for our son. No one has attempted to return our call. As a parent seeking the best treatment for a child in MH distress this is appalling.

Audrey took the time to understand our teenager and explain things clearly to us. She is genuinely caring and was 100% accurate with diagnosis. Would highly recommend.

We have been seeing Dr Oppenheim for the last 7 years. Our son was not attending school and had very high anxiety. Dr Oppenheim assessed and then diagnosed him with ASD and gave us step by step instructions and support to help him back into school. Which were successful. We have had appointments every 3 months without fail through the many ups and downs that come with school & teenage years. Dr Oppenheim has always been correct in her assessment and picked up on any issues we need to address. Her secretary has been amazing too especially when we have required urgent appointments by telephone or zoom. I have recommended Dr Oppenheim to many people because of her thorough assessment, caring but to the point discussions with my son and her ability to talk on his level. Her experience is invaluable.

Audrey has supported our daughter and ourselves via video link for the past year via her private practice. She diagnosed our daughter and made recommendations for her care that have enable our daughter to make huge strides in her ability to cope with the world of today. Sometimes Audrey has given feedback or made recommendations that have been difficult to hear but these have always been in the best interests of our daughter and although we didn't always agree with her, she was invariably right in her assessments.

I can highly recommend Dr Oppenheim she has been fantastic for my son. The difference in my son prior to her involvement in his treatment and today is like night and day and has honestly been life changing. Her advice, treatment plans and coping strategies have been spot on for us and our son.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Dr Oppenheim if you are looking for a diagnosis or help/advice. We sought her advice over our late teenage son and the possibility of him having ADD which had never been picked up on in school. We can therefore only comment from an adolescents perspective and we both feel our experience to have been a good one. People have commented on cost, for us it worth every penny.

Having never had to see a psychiatrist before I didn't know what to expect but I concur with the other 1 star reviews on here, from our experience this lady had no bedside manner or empathy with my son who was obviously struggling to be there and answer questions about his challenges. I went to see Dr Oppenheim as I suspected my son had ADHD, we had 4 appointments with her and she said he didn't have ADHD, she said she thought it was ASD instead. When we received her report it said he had ASD and she suspected ADHD and that he should be assessed for it - this is the first time she'd mentioned this after my initial thoughts!! The report she sent through was full of factual inaccuracies. I would go elsewhere. It definitely is all about the money, we very much felt like a number to her.

Horrific experience. This lady seems to have made a habit of turning up late. She also seems preoccupied with being paid. Very unprofessional, not at all caring. Im shocked her private practice is existent. Pleae, if you are paying to have someone assess your child and listen to your concerns, pay double elsewhere but dont waste your money here.
