Food was disappointing given the reviews. Presentation was very unappealing and unappetising. Plates were rustic and completely wrong for the minimalist presentation so it ended up just looking depressing. Rare steak was grey around the outside, chips were chewy rather than crispy despite being 'triple cooked', baked tomato tasted like something from a budget breakfast place. Food was generally bland and little use of basic herbs and spices, everything tasted of stock-type flavours and not much else. Octopus starter was tepid and gritty. Panacotta desert was better but coconut flakes were dry and hard, not great. Expected a lot better than this given the reputation.

Disappointing. Plenty of cheaper pubs that make better food. Starters nothing special. 30 pounds for a tasteless, overcooked and bad looking ribeye steak and 22 for some chicken that was not memorable but cooked decently. Maybe we chose the wrong food from the menu because other plates looked better than ours. Good service and wine. The location was clean but flat.

I had a lot of fun at the place. The food is of good quality and the service was quick! The bana bread desert was surprisingly delicious and unique with the caramelized pecan they add. The main courses were alright though nothing special about it imo but the octopus appetizer was amazing though. The staff is very friendly but sometimes overly friendly which might not appeal everyone. The atmosphere was awesome though!
