My son has been attending the Cherry Tree nursery for more than a year. Child care standards have deteriorated since he started. I wouldn’t recommend the nursery. I am taking my child out of the nursery as soon as I get the space in another nursery. I don’t feel safe sending my child to nursery. Despite that he is registered as a full time student he attend the nursery for reduced hours only as a last resort when I have no one else to look after him.

Cherry Tree Day Nursery is warm and lovely place to work, providing high quality child care for all the Children. The nursery provides a home from home environment that is ideal for children to learn and develop well in their early years of their lives. The warm nature of the manager, make it easier for parents and staff to approach her at anything to express their needs and concerns. Mrs Ros and Mr Ocampo make sure that all concerns are address in a professional way as soon as possible with a lot of assurance that, it will not repeat itself. Mrs Ros also put needed resources for the smooth running of the nursery as well as guidance on how to take care of the children in the nursery. She always make sure all the staff are regularly up to date with new changes in the EYFS. She provides training and videos such as best practice, interactive, etc to help staff to provide an excellent support to the children in their care. Providing the best support to help children to develop and thrive well in their early years is Mr Ocampo and Mrs Ros number one priority. For that reason, they gave me days off for me to attend university to improve my service in caring for the children in the nursery. They have the children in their heart and they go extra miles to provides all the needed support, care, love for the children. With such a good managers like Mr Ocampo and Mrs Ros, it always feel good to work in Cherry Tree Day Nursery.

Before I started to work here my daughter went to preschool here . She loved it so much so I had to ask could I start here as an apprentice , shortly after that I started as an apprentice and now I have finished my qualifications as well . Toddlers daily routine is quite strict and structured and planning is different for each age groups according to children needs. Children develop play skills through fun activities which has been assessed beforehand either they are safe following all health and safety guidelines.

My son goes to this nursery. It is bilingual and therefore it get exposed to Spanish and English. As we don’t eat meat and the nursery didn’t have vegetarians kids before, they adapted their menu in order to accommodate our requirements. Furthermore they accepted our feedback about it and changed it accordingly. The people are very nice and professional. Furthermore my son gets plenty of hugs.
