I have avoided Cheltenham for 4 years, shopping, dining, parking and entertainment since I was fined for going up a badly signed bus lane on boxing day. Getting lost in Cheltenham which has serious road access issues is dealt with aggressive by the council

Extremely dissatisfied. I complained because of constant and disturbing noise from a neighbour for more than eight months. The council is useless, unprofessional, incompetent and uncaring. I saw no ethics or morality. No compassion or empathy whatsoever. All they do is to try to cover themselves with regulations just so they could do the bare minimum, get paid a comfortable salary and provide no benefit to the public at all. Lots of talk but no action. Impotent, uncaring and unaccountable. How many forms and emails must I have sent them? 40? They do not answer emails. They whitewashed and blackwashed the noise investigation and compromised it to the benefit of the abuser. No care in the world. Why are officers being given permanent employment rights for doing nothing for those members of the public who are being abused day and night for months/years by noisy neighbours? Maybe the noise investigation team were indoctrinated during their induction program in order to believe in George Orwell's phrases which I have modified as follows: " to care is not to care, to be professional is by not acting it out, incompetence is competence, and constant noise is peace and quiet. Antisocial behaviour is ignored resulting in the instigator feeling unopposed and unhindered; creating even more noise in order to avenge the person who made the complaint against them. Psychopaths are allowed free reign to abuse us unabatedly and with increased intensity.

Dunno what I’m paying for. Bins are overflowing, and the road is more pothole than road. Scum the lot of them.

Fair play the environmental officers at the council who acted really quickly when I sent a complaint through yesterday. I have been having issues, which I have put up with for a year, but decided yesterday that I shouldn't have to put up with it anymore. Theres a bus stop next to my house, and a wall in between which I own, and due to social distancing people sit on our wall and leave there rubbish on it, which the wind then blows over into our driveway. Doesn't sound too bad, but with a warehouse a few doors away with a lot of staff, the litter is non stop and I can sometimes pick up around 15 plastic bottles and cans a day. The council visited my property today and also visited the warehouse asking people to respect the area and take their litter with them. I have asked the council to provide more seating near the bus stop, which I'm not sure if they will do, but when theres 15/20 people waiting for the bus at the end of their shift, with no where to stand or sit, I do understand why they are using the wall - but it's very frustrating to cleanup after people!

The Environmental Protection Team are a complete waste of money. They ignore emails and don’t answer their phones. If you make an official complaint they will call you back straight away, strange this! But then they become rude, aggressive and threatening. This is not really the best way to handle a customer complaint.
