Surprisingly tranquil garden given its location near the Embankment: except there was a lot of noise from building work currently going on in the glass houses. Would have given five stars if it weren't for the huge marquee blocking the view from the cafe terrace. Cafe was a bit chaotic due to a large group having afternoon tea. May not be a regular problem but I hear the marquee is a regular presence as the garden is fully geared up for weddings and other events. That said, the garden needs the funds to retain the staff needed to keep it in the tiptop condition that was clear to see on our visit.
