    What an amazing place

Do not volunteer for these people. They ask people who are homeless and vulnerable to volunteer for them and abuse them. Julie the volunteer co-ordinator went on long term sick. Louise who is now the volunteer co-ordinator and fund raiser is virtually homeless herself and as her stuff in storage and says she suffers from poverty scarcity. Shane was made redundant and offered his job back on less pay. Shane often smells of alcohol and when he goes off sick, volunteers say they've known him 7 years and its because of his mental health problems. Loris was also offered less pay but refused so they kept him at his salary. He cooks food that is awful. It tastes of washing up liquid as he doesn't clean the pans properly and is mostly pasta with three pieces of sweetcorn. The food in the cafe is often out of date. The new minister Faith only joined in September 2022. She said there are hardly any congregation that attend and those that are for are elderly. Andrea the other staff member only just joined as well. Louise the volunteer co-ordinator has said she could not provide me with reference , it is the role of Andrea who also has not provided a reference. Shane has said he is the one to provide me with a reference and yet he has not done so. They approached me and asked me to volunteer wasting my time since July 2022. The place is a madhouse, full of dysfunctional people who are staff, who are incapable of having the strength of mind, character, integrity or decency to support the most vulnerable in society. Loris was shouting at one service user that he was going to ban him for asking him a simple question the night before he started sleeping in their winter night shelter.

Very friendly church, family orientated and a diverse congregation. The church does great work feeding the homeless and supporting families through outreach work.

A Tardis-like experience: small entrance opening up to a much bigger space inside on two floors.
