I have been a member for just over a year now, and CKC is a fantastic club, that is well motivated to get out on the sea at least once a month, with Thames paddles in between. They have good focus on helping people to level up their skills to be able to get out and appreciate the British coastlines, with occasional overseas trips as well.

London's sea kayaking club. I joined this club about 10 years ago. It has been fantastic, enabling me to get on some great sea kayaking trips - west coast of Scotland, south Devon, Jurassic Coast, Isle of Wight, etc. Can't recommend it highly enough. Very friendly and professional.

I had been wanting to paddle on the Thames for sometime, and went on on Chelsea Kayak Club taster sessions to see if I would enjoy it. I did, the people I met were very friendly, so I joined the club. I have had some fabulous evening paddles on the Thames: it is delightful to go up river, with Kew gardens on one side and the lion of Syon House just visible on the other. Kayaking back from Hammersmith Bridge with dusk descending and as the lights came on was magical. I have also been on a sea kayak, where we went around Hayling Island: a great experience.
